Jess was at the park feeding birds. She turned her head.
"Hi Mark."
Mark stood next to her.
"So how are you today?"
"I'm fine, and you?"
Mark traced her face with his finger.
"I am now."
Jess smiled. Suddenly, Mark leaned foreward and kissed her, smack-dang on the lips. Jess recoiled in shock.
"Mark?" she exclaimed, her eyes wide.
"What's wrong?" he asked. "Admit it, you wanted me to."
Jess stared at him.
"I, uhh, no, uhh, err."
Mark kissed her again, this time she didn't pull away immediately.
"Wait, what about Cassie?"
"Stuff Cassie."

Meanwilst, Isaac, Alanna, Taylor, Peta, Jade, Zac, Cassie and another friend of theirs' named Dennis were at Laser Quest. They were taking a break from playing to have lunch.
"Hey, wasn't Mark gonna join us?" Zac asked Cassie.
"He was... but he told me last night that they were visiting his grandparents this morning. Maybe they got stuck in traffic."
"Why do you keep doing that?" Peta demanded rudely.
"Doing what?" Jade inquired.
"That! Why can't you just eat your food like you're supposed to?"
"Oh, speak for yourself blondie."
"Ladies, ladies -" came Ike.
"I hardly think she qualifies as being a lady." Peta retorted.
"And you are?" Jade sniped.
"Girls, women, chicks, whatever - there's not need to argue. Geez."
Taylor gave Peta a weird look. 'Why is she acting like this?' he wondered.
"So are we switching teams again?" Alanna asked in an attempt to change the subject.
"Nah, I think these are working out." Taylor grinned.
"You're only saying that because you won." Zac said, whacking over the head.
"Yup."
"And we totally slaughtered you." Cassie put in. "Completely exterminated you."
"Terminated." Taylor added, giving Cassie a high five.
They joked around for a bit longer before playing a few more games.
At the end of the day, Taylor walked Jade over to her house, bot noticing the dirty looks Peta was sending their way.
"Taylor, I was wondering..." Jade said suddenly, whirling around and flinging her arms around his neck.
"Uhh, yeah?" he asked, a little daunted.
"Well, there's this party on this Friday and I was wondering if you'd like to come with me."
"Sure."
"Great." Jade kissed his cheek and went inside.
"Ooh." teased Zac, who had been watching from across the road.
