"Babsie, you're a little schemer." Nick told her, getting into the front seat.
"I don't understand what all the fuss is about..." Taylor said, frowning.
"Mrs Masters has a phobia of her daughters dating musicians." Babsie grinned. "Especially rock stars like you."
"Oh?"
"She would never have left Rita leave the house if she knew you were being her date. You're safe while she thinks Nick is taking her."
Taylor grinned at Rita, and squeezed her hand.
"Aww, you're lying to your own mother for me."
Rita smiled.
"Well, here's your stop. Have a good time. Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Nick said once they had arrived.
"That's a very short list Nick." Babsie joked, waving to them.

"Didn't your mother ever know about the dreams?" Taylor asked.
"No. The only one I ever told was Babsie. No one else ever really listened to me I suppose. I don't even think Babsie believe me at first."
"What changed her mind?"
Rita blushed sightly.
"Umm, she was in the room the first time I saw the MMMBop video. I took one look at you and... I fainted."
Taylor laughed.
"It was really nice of Babsie and Nick to organise this for us."
Rita nodded with a smile.
"Nick must be really happy - she finally agreed to go out on a date with him."
"Oh my gosh it's Taylor Hanson!" shrieked a girl.
Taylor waved at her.
"She's one of the girls from school. Don't let any of them fool you, I'm not really friends with any of them." Rita warned him in a low voice.
"All right gorgeous."
A little later that evening, a rather muscular guy came up to them. Hanging on his arm was some bimbo and Taylor had the feeling he'd seen this guy before.
"Hey Rita." He said.
"Hi." Rita smiled politely. "Oh, uhh, Ryan, this is my boyfriend Taylor."
Ryan eyed Taylor.
"Aren't you one of those Hanson girls?"
"No, I'm one of those Hanson guys."
Fortunately they were all called together for the night to begin before their conversation could get heated (which is what would have happened without the interruption).
All in all, the night seemed to go pretty well. A few times Taylor felt a little out of place, which was understandable. Of course, sometimes a few girls would start flirting with him and Rita would feel out of place.
At the end of the night, Taylor went back to the motel. He talked about it with Isaac and Zac for a little while. Then suddenly blurted out:
"I'm not gonna lose her now that I've only just found her. Do you think we could bring her on tour with us?"
