Isaac, Taylor and Zac were doing another concert. Fans were screaming, singing, clapping, waving and crying.
"She doesn't know her own area code..."
If the guys had any negative feelings towards music and touring before the concert, well, this one certainly would have changed that. It was just one of those incredibly amazing concerts.
"Now it's too late for a fight or fold..."
Have you ever noticed that sometimes you can hear or say or sing a particular phase over and over and over, and not really comprehend it's meaning?
"The faucet's running and my car got towed..."
Then one day it suddenly hits you. Like a lightening bolt. A punch in the face. A splash of cold water.
"I'm definitely sure that I do surely doubt it..."
And the next thing you know it completely changes your whole perspective, sometimes your whole life?
"But I'm definitely sure that I'm not sure..."
Well, that's what happened to Taylor.
"Did you see the man with the cocaine load. It's on sale for the price of your soul..."
Soul.
Soul.
SOUL.
**********
Taylor reached for his bottles of pills late that night. He just stared at them.
"Did you see the man with the cocaine load. It's on sale for the price of your soul." He sang to himself, and he could feel tears pricking at his eyes.
"What have I done?" He whispered.
Taylor slipped out of his bunk and tip-toed over to the window. He opened it gently, not wanting anyone to hear him, and threw the bottles out of the window. As it was raining gently, he was sure they would end up melting, and so wasn't worried about anyone else getting hold of them.
After this, he went to the bathroom. He had been too reliant on them in the past few months and knew withdrawal symptoms were inevitable. But he also knew that he no way of obtaining any more of them until they returned to Tulsa, and well, Taylor wouldn't be returning their until mid next year or something like that.
Taylor stared at himself in the mirror. Those two lines from 'Sure about it' still running through his head like a broken record. Funny, that a song he had help write when he was thinking about Jade should be what would save his own life.
"What the..." he gasped.
In the mirror, where his reflection should have been, was Her. But somehow She seemed so much more real than ever. She was smiling at him.
"Who are you?" he whispered. "I'm gonna find you, you know. I will."
He reached his hand towards the mirror - Her face. But the 'reflection' disappeared.
