They were in the studio waiting for Isaac and Walker to return with the lunch.
" 'I don't know'." Taylor replied.
"Oh, don't ya just hate that?"
"Hate what?"
"When you get a song in your head and you don't know what it's called. It's even worse when you can't think of all the words."
Taylor gave him a funny look.
"Zac, 'I don't know' -"
"I heard you the first time. If you can hum it a bit louder, and if ya can remember any of the words, maybe I can tell you what it is."
An amused looked crossed Taylors' face. He then started singing:
"You can tell me what you want. After all that you've done for me. We can make it all undone, but can't you see that..."
"Ooh, I know that song umm... oh, what is it? Umm..."
"I don't know what you're thinking." Taylor continued.
"That's right! It's - 'I don't know'."
"Really?" Taylor joked. "Neither do I."
"Whose idea was it to write a song called 'I don't know' anyway?"
"I don't know." Taylor grinned. "I think Ike wrote the lyrics to the chorus..."
"Well DUH. It's another one of his ballads! All he ever -"
"I remember now! It was your idea."
"My idea?" Zac repeated. "Why on earth would I encourage Ike to write one of those soppy things?"
Taylor shook his head.
"No, you joked about calling a song 'I don't know', and Ike, Ike got inspired."
Zac pulled a face.
"Oh man! I inspired Ike to write one of those sappy little ballads. Oh shame, oh woe."
He then proceeded to pretend to breakdown in humiliation. Taylor grinned.
"And I think he did it on purpose, just to irritate you Zac."
"That be right. That would be just like Ike to write a song to spite me."
"What song?" Isaac asked, coming in the door with Walker and lunch.
"Oh good food!" Zac cried. "I'm starving."
Taylor grabbed the fried rice just before Zac got to it.
"Hey!"
"Ha ha."
"What song?" Isaac repeated.
" 'I don't know'." Taylor answered.
"Huh?"
Taylor and Zac's eyes met, and they burst out laughing.
