Chapter 37

“You don’t really need to move out,” Zac said to Morgan.

“Well, probably not,” she admitted. “But I’ve lived with family all my life. I kinda want to get out, you know?”

“Yeah, I think so. So, who exactly are you moving in with? I know there’s Jesse.”

“Yeah there’s Jesse, Caroline, Tyson and Yvonne,” she paused. “And Paul might join us.”

“Sounds cramped.”

“It’s a pretty big place.”

“That’s interesting. And how are you able to afford it?”

“Jesse bought it. The rest of us will either buy a share of it from Jesse or pay rent. I’m buying a share, but I don’t know if it will be a fifth or a sixth until we know what Paul is doing.”

“Okay. Well, don’t forget to call.”

“We meet up at the studio all the time.”

“Doesn’t change anything.”

Morgan smiled.

“Okay, I’ll call.”

“Good.”

“Bye,” she said, getting into the car.

“See ya.”

Morgan drove off towards the house that was now her new home. When she arrived, she saw that Tyson had already arrived and was bringing in his luggage from his car.

“Hey Ty,” she greeted.

“Morgan! Hi!” he returned.

Morgan started bringing in her own luggage. She knew exactly where her room was and moved her luggage accordingly.

“Hi Caro,” Morgan said, steeping out of her room.

“Oh hey, I didn’t know you were here yet,”

“I just arrived.”

“Cool. Want a hand?”

“Sure, thanks.”

The two girls headed back down to the cars, and passed Tyson on the way.

“Oh, I see, you help Morgan, but not me,” he said, pretending to be hurt.

“Yep!” Caroline grinned.

Morgan giggled. It was a little weird for her. She was the youngest of her circle of friends and not simply by a few months, but by a couple of years. Normally it didn’t bother her, but every now and then she was reminded of it. Sometimes it was just something that popped into her head and meant nothing. Other times it was an issue, such as when they wanted to go clubbing or something.

“Hey Morgan,” Jesse grinned. “Where do you think you’re going with my girl?”

“We’re running away to join the circus,” Morgan replied with a straight face.

“Can I come with you?” asked a new voice.

“Paul!”

Morgan bounded down the stairs the rest of the way and wrapped her arms around him. Their lips met for a moment.

“You decided to move in with us?” she asked hopefully.

“Yeah,” he replied, nuzzling her neck.

“Get a room!” Tyson yelled.

“Why yes, we don’t know which room is yours yet,” Morgan said cheekily.

“That’s not what I meant and you know it,” Tyson replied with a broad grin, despite his attempt to sound stern.

“Have I missed anything?” asked Yvonne, stepping inside.

“Nothing of consequence,” Jesse replied. “Great, we’re all here. Now lets try and get the rest of our stuff in.”
