"Hey you girls were great," he told them.
"Thanks!" they said together.
The twins had just done their first TV interview. They were on the promo tour for their album 'Radioactive Isotopes'.
"And just think, that's the first of many."
"I hope there's never a time where I don't get to talk about myself on TV and have people hang on my every word," Storm joked.
"Ego trip!" Rogue giggled.
Isaac smiled. They chatted a little more about the interview. About twenty minutes later there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," Isaac said.
One of the production assistants came in.
"Hi," she said. "Look one of our guests have had to cancel at the last minute * their flight has been delayed. Would you like to play another song?"
Storm and Rogue looked at Isaac.
"It's up to you," he told them.
"We're in," they said together.
"Okay, great. Someone will be down to get you in a few minutes."
She left.
"This is so cool!" Rogue and Storm exclaimed.
Isaac grinned broadly. It was great to see his girls having so much fun.
He felt a little sad watching them perform the second song though. He and Babsie had spoken to the girls about it previously, but there was no way that they'd be able to come with them on tour. There were just too many of them, and they had to make considerations for their other kids, amongst other responsibilities. Instead they had made arrangements for Mutant Girls to do a double tour with Zoe, seeing as they needed to tour with someone.
Isaac wished he could be with them though, like he wished he could be with Xavier when he toured. He loved watching them do their shows.
He sighed. He knew he was going to miss them terribly. He never wanted to stand in the way of letting his children do what they really wanted to do, but he didn't want to miss seeing them do it either.
It wasn't long before the show was over and they returned to the hotel.
"Get a good nights sleep girls, and don't stay up too late talking. We have to leave first thing in the morning," Isaac warned.
"Okay Dad!" Rogue replied.
"I mean it."
Storm giggled.
"No, really girls, if you're a reflection of the walking dead tomorrow because you spent half the night giggling about tonight and then have to get up at five-thirty in the morning, it will be your own fault."
"We get the point, Dad."
"I'm not convinced you do," Isaac replied. "You have that look on your faces."
It was Rogue's turn to giggle.
"Good night, girls."
"Good night, Dad."
