Chapter 95

"C'mon sweetie. Come to daddy." Zac said, arms outstretched.

Hope giggled and splashed the water. She was all bundled up in her floaties and in the hotel pool with Zac and other members of their ever-growing family.

"C'mon Hope." He encouraged.

Hope paddled over to Zac and wrapped her little arms around his neck.

Sometime later, Zac had put Hope to bed and was on his computer, cleaning out the files. Something he had been meaning to do for awhile now.

"Hey, what's this?" he wondered, opening up a folder entitled 'gfs'. "Oh wait a sec, I know."

As he expected, the folder contained files titled with the names of every single girlfriend he had ever had while he had been playing his little game. Excluding Babsie. He started amusing himself by going through the different files.

"Gee, that Vanessa chick seemed like a nice girl." He murmured to himself. "Say, what was that name of that ex I met awhile back... Joanna was it?"

He opened up the Joanna file.

"Ah ha, yep it was. Daughter of radio station manager. That's how we met." He started reading through the file. "My goodness, she was naive wasn't she? How on earth did I stand her?"

He closed that file and opened up a few more.

"Oh Stacy, I remember that little slut." He muttered to himself.

Zac thought back to the hoax she had attempted to pull off. Spreading the rumour that she was having his child, something that nearly cost him his relationship with Cassie.

"Stupid, inconsiderate bitch."

He closed that file and opened up another one.

Zac just went through all the files, remembering some, not recalling most. Once he was done, he sat back and thought hard.

"Cassie was right. I really was a jerk." He reflected. "A lot of these were really nice girls."

He looked over at Hope.

"Hey, Hope, promise me you ain't gonna lead guys on like I lead on all these chicks ok?" he paused a moment. "In fact, you'd better not for your own safety, some guys can be real jerks."

Zac smiled to himself, knowing that not only was she not quite two but she was fast asleep and totally unaware he was talking to her. Let alone able to comprehend the meaning of his words.

He got up and watched Hope for a little while, a small smile on his face. Then he wandered back over to his computer and looked at the list of files.

"So, to delete or not to delete?" he asked himself.

He highlighted the folder and reach for the delete button. Then he stopped. Instead, he reached for a disc and saved them on that first before deleting them off his hard drive.

"You never know, might come in useful some day." He said, a small smile on his face.
