Jess smiled.
"Well, duh. That would have wrecked all the fun of knowing something you didn't."
Babsie, Jess, Isaac and Austin had just left the theatre where the X-men movie sequel had been screened that night.
"It wasn't a very big role anyway." Austin dismissed.
"That's beside the point." Babsie insisted.
Isaac laughed.
"Get over it Babs. So, Austin, I didn't know you were into acting."
He shrugged.
"Well, you didn't expect me to run around in a Chipmunk costume at Disneyland for the rest of my life did ya." Austin grinned.
"No, I guess not." Isaac smiled.
"Not that it isn't fun."
"So, got another acting job lined up yet?" Babsie asked.
"No, but there's an audition I'm going to be at in a coupla weeks. Which reminds me," Austin then addressed himself to Jess, "I was going ask if Avie's got any plans. I know she's into acting, maybe she'd like to audition too."
"Sure, I'd bet she'd love that. She hasn't got any plans that I know of." Jess answered.
Austin put his arm around her.
"So, what do you guys think of Jess moving in with me?" he asked.
Isaac snickered.
"I think that Mom and Dad would never let her do it, even if she is turning 19."
Austin shot a questioning look at Jess.
"I hadn't mentioned it to anyone yet."
"Oh, oops."
Isaac and Babsie stopped. Looked at each other, then at Jess and Austin.
"Ah ha." Babsie said. "I was getting the feeling that you were up to something when you gave us the tickets Jess."
Jess couldn't help but smile.
"Well, I know they aren't gonna be too happy, but I'm old enough to look after myself and Marie. But, well, you know. I wouldn't want them to... I just need a third party with me when I tell them. You know, to soften the blow or whatever."
Babsie wagged a finger at her.
"You are a manipulative, sneaky, conniving little schemer." Babsie said.
"She approves." Isaac interjected. "Sure, we'll help you out."
"Thanks Ike, Babsie." Jess replied.
"You're a woman after my own heart." Babsie added with a grin. "Although whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is yet to be decided."
