She and Rita (and the kids) were sitting down at a table in an eatery. The guys had made a brief stop to work on a new live album. They had now arrived with two others and sat down with them at the table (well, actually tables).
"Hi Babs. Have fun shopping?" Isaac asked.
Babsie gave him a look.
"Let's think about this. Going clothes shopping for three three-year-olds, two two-year olds, three one-year-olds, three six-month-olds and one five-month-old. Now lets take in account that there are only two of us to look after them, and while they're not quite old enough to be really irritating, the other shoppers are. They just keep coming over 'oh they're so cute' and 'what are their names?'. Oh, and my favourite 'are you baby-sitting?'. What do you think?"
Isaac laughed.
"Maybe we should get someone. Oh, you know Elliot, he's the guy producing and mixing our album."
"Yep, good to meet ya again." Babsie said pleasantly.
"And this is his friend Harry. He's also a music producer, but he's not working on the album."
Babsie nodded.
"Ok, and Harry, this is my wife Babsie, and Tay's wife Rita. And then there are the kids, not that I expect you to remember all their names, but it's only polite right?"
Harry grinned.
"There's Adam, Morgan, Mike, Sam and Duane." Taylor started. "They're mine."
"Xavier, Esme, Carmen, Duke, Sean and Matt are mine." Isaac continued. "And Hope is Zac's."
"How on earth do you keep track of them?" Harry asked.
"With great difficultly." Zac joked. "It's gets especially complicated cos some of them are name sakes. Like there's Clarke Xavier and Jordan Michael and Taylor Samuel."
"No, it's Jordan Samuel and Taylor Michael." Taylor corrected.
Zac looked at him, then back at Harry and Elliot.
"See? With great difficultly. I proved my own point."
"And then there's Morgan Rita, there's another one."
"And Isaac Duke. And Carmen Babette." Isaac added.
"Babette?" Elliot repeated.
"Yeah. It mean 'little Barbara'." Babsie explained. "And Barbara's my real name. Isaac found it in a name book."
"Did I?" Isaac asked. "Stupid amnesia."
"There's Cassandra Hope. Cassandra was her mothers' name, but we all called her Cassie." Taylor continued.
There was silence for a moment as Zac gave Taylor a subtle glare.
"Well, I wasn't named after a person. I was named after a song." Babsie said quickly, breaking up the tension that was starting to build. "It was a Beach Boys song. You know Barbara Ann."
"Is your middle name Ann?" Zac asked. "I had no idea."
Babsie grinned.
"You know, that's actually kinda funny." Isaac commented. "You're named after a Beach Boys song, you're a music guru and you married a rock star."
"Your mother would have loved that." Harry commented thoughtfully.
Babsie gave him an amused look.
"And how would you know that?"
"Oh, Ebony always had a wicked sense of humour." Harry smiled softly to himself. "That's probably who you got it from."
The colour had drained from Babsie's face.
"How do you know my mothers' name?"
