"Guess what!" he shouted.
They looked up at him. Rita put her finger up to her lips and gestured to the sleeping babies. Taylor didn't appear to acknowledge it, but his next words were quieter.
"You know that band we signed? Shining Armour?"
"Yeah, what about them?" Isaac asked.
"Ok, you know how they just finished their album and released their first single the other week?"
"What was that called again?" Zac asked. "I've heard so many songs and demos and stuff since we've started the record company, I've forgotten."
" 'Merlin'." Isaac told him.
"Oh, yeah that's right." He grinned. "I think it's getting to the point where I'm even getting songs we've written mixed up with them."
"Now that's an interesting thought." Babsie commented thoughtfully. "Merlin, ba duba din, ba du bin, ba duba din, ba du bin, ba duba din, ba du. Oh yeah. Merlin, ba duba din, ba du bin, ba duba din, ba du bin, ba duba din, ba du."
Rita started giggling.
"Ok, ok, that was just wrong somehow." Isaac chuckled.
"Excuse me? I am trying to tell you something here." Taylor interrupted, sounding a little exasperated.
"What is it?" Rita asked, still giggling.
"Merlin is in the top ten."
"Really?" Zac asked excitedly.
Taylor nodded and threw open the magazine.
"Yep, see here it is. Position eight."
"Wow, I bet those guys are ecstatic." Babsie commented. "Hey, be sure to let me have a read of that when you're done. I have to keep up with my pop trivia."
Taylor pulled a face at her.
"How do you remember all that stuff anyway Babs?" Isaac asked.
"Photographic memory. And relentless interest in music. And having a very musical mother. And marrying a rock star. And -"
"Ok, ok, I get the point."
Babsie grinned.
"Position eight." Zac sighed. "That is so cool. The first single from our label is in the top ten."
"So, what about we all go out and celebrate?" Taylor suggested.
"Great idea." Isaac replied.
"Ok then let's go."
