Chapter 66

The good news, was that there were no ransom demands. The bad news was that there was no clue as to where Isaac had disappeared to at all. It had been over a week.

The tour had been cancelled until further notice. On the other hand, the unintentional publicity that quickly occurred drastically increased demand for the album, and it hadn't even been released in the stores yet.

Still, they gladly would have swapped this to have Isaac back.

Isaac watched Alanna leave. He liked her, but... it was weird, he just, he didn't feel anything. Well, actually he felt that something wasn't quite right. At first he thought it was the lack of feeling for Alanna that was troubling him. After all, they were supposed to be married.

However, he quickly dismissed this idea. And the nagging feeling continued.

He heard the door close.

Why was it she refused to let him see a doctor? He was just so sore. Some parts of him had improved, others had only gotten worse.

Isaac sighed.

What he didn't know was that Alanna had been rather relieved that he was bedridden. It had given her time to get some clothes and what not for him. After all, she lived there by herself since her roomie had moved out, so there wasn't anything for him. There certainly were no signs that he actually lived there. At least with Isaac unable to move around comfortably, there was a chance he wouldn't notice the inconsistencies.

Sighing, Isaac flipped around on the television. The guys on the early news mentioned that people were still looking for that Isaac Hanson guy. Isaac found it kinda funny that there was a guy with his same first name missing at the same time he had amnesia. Some rock star, but he didn't recall the band.

You see, Isaac hadn't seen himself in a mirror, otherwise he would have realised that he and Isaac Hanson were one and the same. However, he had forgotten what he looked like.

He wondered if Alanna had any music by this Hanson band. Isaac struggled out of bed, but quickly plonked back down, too sore to move and a sweat building on his face.

"Stuff her." He said at last. "I must be cheating on her or she on me or something because none of this feels right and she obviously doesn't care what condition I'm in."

Isaac reached over to the drawer in the bedside table and fumbled through it, looking for an address or something to the place.

"Ah ha! Eureka." He exulted. "Alright, now the phone is probably downstairs..."

Isaac sighed, knowing it was going to be a long trek to the phone.

"Well, I ain't gonna get anywhere lying here." He muttered.

He slid out of the bed and headed for his clothes, which he slowly and painfully managed to put on. Then, stuffing the paper in his pocket, he started on the trip downstairs.
