Ever since the decision had been made about Hope, Zac couldn't get into the studio often enough. It was the only release he knew.
Isaac stopped the tape and rewound it a bit, listening closely. He sat there with a slight frown on his face thinking about the possibilities. His concentration was shattered at a knock of the door.
"Yoo hoo." Babsie said. "Yeah, I thought I'd find you in here. C'mon, we're going over to your parents' house now."
"Ok." He replied, getting up and stopping the tape.
It was Christmas Day. They had opened their presents to each other earlier that morning, and were now taking the ones for the rest of the family over to their place.
Sometime during the lunch, Walker tapped on a glass to get everyones attention.
"Diana and I have an announcement to make." He said. "Sometime around July of next year, there's going to be -"
"Another one?" Jess complained. "Dad, don't you think it's time to stop? You're gonna have nine grandchildren who will be older than it."
"Well, Jess, see what it is, is that they're competing against their brothers and sisters as to who can have the most kids, just like we're doing." Taylor joked. "Not that that's too hard, most of them stopped at five or six."
"Umm, no, wait, what about Auntie Lou and Uncle Henry?" Isaac pointed out. "They have ten."
"True, true." Taylor replied. "So, you're saying that after this one, we're probably going to have two more siblings after that?"
"Well, unless Lou has another one - oh, wait, she can't can she?"
"Excuse me?" Jess interrupted. "I don't know about you, but I find this rather disturbing. And I can't see how you can possibly joke about it."
"Most people start by opening their mouths." Babsie answered cheekily.
"Please, please." Diana cut in, but before she could continue, Zac butted in.
"Well, Mom, it's gonna get real confusing and weird. We already have an aunt who's younger than her niece, I mean, what are the little kids gonna think? It's one thing when your cousins are your age, but when your aunts and uncles are your age as well?"
"Oh would you people quit coughing up a fuss. Gee, it's not all that bad. My goodness you're making it sound like a national offence or something." Babsie put in. "My congratulations to you."
"Thank you Babsie." Walker said.
"I don't get it." Now three-year-old Sarah said. "What's going on?"
"Mommy and Daddy are having another baby dumbo." Zoe informed her.
"Zoe, don't call your sister a dumbo. Apologise right now." Diana said.
"Sorry." Zoe mumbled.
