He walked past gravestone after gravestone, until he reached Cassie's.
"Hey Cassie. How are you?" he asked.
Zac put down a bunch of flowers on her grave.
"You haven't been doing anything silly like running off and hiding an angels harp or something have you? Oh wait a second, that's something I would do."
He chuckled to himself.
"Well, y'know, things have been good for me. And I'm telling you, Hope is gonna look just like you."
He smiled.
"Ahh, you'd love her Cassie. You really would. I wish you could be here."
Zac paused, and knelt on the ground.
"Cassie? Umm, there's something that's been bothering me. There's this girl I've been dating. And y'know, she's nice… but we're only dating because it's like, convenient. She's after publicity and I, I just wanted to win a bet and get Ike and Tay off my back about dating again."
He sighed.
"And I was talking to Kelsey. I told you about her huh? Well, I was talking to her the other day, and she… well, the girl is a lot smarter than a lot of people think - including me."
Zac grinned.
"I'm just, I don't know. But I think… I think I'm finally able to move on Cassie. You know I'll always love you, but I, I don't want to always mourn you. And I don't think you want me to either."
He was silent for a moment.
"I'm just, I'm not sure what to do about Amy though - she's the girl I'm dating. She's nice enough, but I'm not really sure if I want to date her y'know what I'm saying?"
He started getting up.
"Anyway, I'm, I'm sure I'll figure it out."
He ran his fingers along the gravestone.
"But Cassie? You don't need to worry or anything. I'm not gonna ever forget you. You, were my wife and, and we had a beautiful daughter together."
He brushed the dirt off his pants.
"And I love you Cassandra Grace Hanson. And I know you loved me."
He was silent again.
"I'll, I guess I better be going. Farewell."
Zac turned slowly and left, feeling like a great weight had been lifted from his shoulders.
