Chapter 46

As Isaac and Babsie had hoped, the construction had finished on time. They were now working on the interior decorating, starting with the more important rooms.

Walker, Diana, Indecision, Sarah and Yasmine had returned to Tulsa for three weeks after the promo. They had left a week previous for Indecisions' world tour - 'Completely Undecided'.

They had all been listening to the demos that Zac had brought back, and were trying to decide on which ones to follow up on.

On this particular day, almost everyone was over at Isaac and Babsie's place, either 'helping' with the interior decorating, or playing in the front yard. Possibly to the irritation of the neighbours, the demos were practically blaring out of the speakers (thank you Zac).

Rita and Rose were still at their place. Rita was preparing some lunch for everyone. She was just packing the sandwiches in a basket to take over, when something hit her over her head, and she fell, unconscious, to the floor.

Rose started crying.

"I'm gonna go see if Rita needs a hand." Taylor announced.

'And to get some headache tablets for this damn headache I just got' he thought to himself.

"Can I come too?" Morgan asked.

"Sure."

Taylor was immediately suspicious when he saw the front door ajar. That was certainly not like Rita at all. He motioned for Morgan to be quiet and softly slipped in the door.

He had reached the middle of the lounge room, when an odd-sounding female voice floated towards him. Morgan was peeking at him through the door, out of sight.

"Don't take another step Tay-Tay."

Taylor gestured for Morgan to stay where she was and said:

"Who are you?" he demanded. "Where's Rita? And Rose?"

"Why, they're right there!" the voice cackled. "On the lounge. Come see."

Taylor carefully stepped over.

"Oh no! Rita? Rita!" he cried, rushing to her. "What did you do?"

An almost wild-looking woman stepped into view.

"Get away from her!" She snarled.

Rose immediately started crying.

"And shut the brat up! Or better yet, I will!"

To Taylor's horror, she pointed a gun towards Rose.

"No!"

Taylor lunged towards her, sending the bullet through the roof. Unfortunately, Taylor wasn't able to pull the gun away from her.

"Ooh, Tay-bear." She giggled as his body brushed against her.

On the bright side, she changed her mind about killing Rose.

"You're the stalker." Taylor realised, stepping away. "You're the psychopath."
