"Oh, just beautiful." Babsie replied, wiping away an imaginary tear.
She and Isaac (along with their nine kids) were back from LA, about a week after Jess and Austin had married. The happy couple (the newlyweds that is) were about halfway through their honeymoon.
"The place is really starting to get together huh?" Isaac commented.
"Yeah. Y'know, I've like, been meaning to ask like, what on earth some of this like, stuff is for." Kelsey gestured to some of the stuff that was lying around.
"That's for us to know, and you to find out."
"I should have known better than to ask."
Isaac and Babsie grinned at her.
"So, what have you been doing any way?" Babsie asked.
"Well, I like, finally got my motorbike licence. I also have like, a totally ugly bike." Kelsey replied.
"How's the job?"
"Like, what job?" she grinned. "Got like, fired last week. For some reason they like, didn't like the way I like, treated the customers."
"Did it involve you saying 'like, read the sign, you freak' to a blind guy?"
Kelsey gave her a look.
"I like, didn't realise he was like, blind ok? You've like, been talking to Peta huh?"
Babsie wagged a finger at her.
"Shame, shame."
"So, uhh, like, where's Zac? Oh, and like, Taylor and Rita?"
"Zac has left Hope with us," Isaac answered, "while he's gone talent scouting. He would have taken her with him, but you can't really take a three-year-old to a rock concert. Taylor and Rita are staying in LA until the record is finished. I don't know when any of them are coming back to Tulsa."
"Oh." Kelsey sounded a little disappointed. "So, Babsie, like, expecting again yet?"
Babsie raised an eyebrow.
"Why does everyone ask you that Babs? I just don't get that." Isaac joked.
Babsie gave a slight grin.
"Due in December."
Kelsey gave her a look.
"Really? I was like, only joking. Gee girl, like, don't you have enough kids?"
"Well..." Babsie pondered. "We have enough for a basketball team. But what is the use of one basketball team if you don't have enough for another one to play against? Of course, we have the right number for a baseball team..."
"It was like, a rhetorical question."
