"You know, I was expecting a boy, so I didn't think about girls names."
"Neither did I." Rita admitted.
Taylor smiled and took her hand.
"So, got any ideas?"
Rita shrugged.
"I always liked the name Rose."
"Ok."
"Did you have a suggestion?"
He hesitated.
"Well, umm, ahh."
"Yes?"
"Umm, well, I was thinking maybe... Meredith."
Rita studied his face for a moment.
"You're really worried about her huh?"
"Yeah... oh I know I'm being stupid. It's been years and she's probably, probably dead..."
Rita took his hand.
"Tay, Tay I understand. You were trying to help and then she just vanished.
Taylor sighed.
"You probably think I'm obsessed."
"No, no, I've seen you obsessed. And this is not obsessed."
Taylor cracked a smile.
"Ike and Zac'll just say I am."
"So tell them I suggested the name. I happen to like it."
Taylor reached over and stroked her hair.
"Thank you Rita."
She smiled.
"And if they don't go for that, remind Ike about the X-men and Zac about his motorbikes."
Taylor laughed.
"Ok, ok, that should shut them up."
"Speaking of being obsessed, whatever happened to that life-sized portrait you were making of me a few years ago?"
Taylor shrugged and sighed.
"I, umm, kinda stopped working on it when we met - and there were two."
"So, where are they now?"
"Umm, in the attic? I don't really remember."
Rita smiled at Taylor's slightly embarrassed face.
"I loved all those pictures you used to draw of me. I would have loved to do the same of you, but I never was a good drawer."
There was silence for a moment as they thought about the lives they had before they met.
"So, Rose Meredith Hanson or Meredith Rose Hanson?" Taylor asked.
"I think I like Meredith Rose better." She replied.
