Meanwhile, further up the street, a similar conversation was progressing:
“Rita?” Taylor asked.
Rita nodded slowly.
“I understand, I do. I mean, I did get the job sing at the jazz club a few years back, so I complete understand that you want to get back to doing what you love, I just... isn’t this a little sudden?”
“Zac had an almost fatal accident, Rita.”
“That’s what I mean. You have momentum now but...”
Taylor smiled.
“Ike and I didn’t have a near fatal accident. We nearly lost our brother, yes but... It didn’t exactly take a lot of convincing. We have been talking about doing this for years and well we kept putting if off because of whatever the circumstances were. We’re in our forties now, Rita. I think the time has come for the band to get back together.”
“What about No Evil? Y’know, Rose, Kyle and Char’s band?”
“They can come with. Open our shows,” Taylor decided. “It’ll be good experience for them. There’s no reason why they can’t record their own album and tour and stuff. They’ll be old enough to tour on their own soon enough. It’s all good.”
Rita nodded slowly.
“Okay,” she said.
“You mean it?”
“Like I said, I do understand,” Rita nodded. “But I think you’d better run No Evil opening by your brothers before you suggest it to them.”
Taylor gave her a hug and a quick kiss.
“Thanks, honey.”

Later that evening, Taylor sat down with Rose, Kyle and Charlotte, with who, he shared the good news.
“Oh wow Dad!” Rose exclaimed, signing away with excitement. “That would be awesome!”
“We can really tour with you?” Kyle asked both verbally and with signing hands.
“Absolutely,” Taylor nodded.
“And we can work on our own album?” Charlotte signed as Kyle translated aloud for Rose’s benefit.
“Yes,” Taylor confirmed. “You can even sell copies at the shows if you want. And afterwards, if you think you can handle the whole touring thing we can release it for you and you can go on your own tour.”
“This is awesome!” Rose said happily. “Oh thanks Dad! Thank you so much!”
