"Huh?"
"I said you've been a little distant. Is something wrong?"
Taylor was on a date with Rosie. It had been something he had arranged before Zac's abduction, otherwise he probably would have stayed home.
"Oh, it's nothing really."
Rosie looked at him as if she didn't quite buy that.
"Ok." She said at last. "But if you ever want to talk to someone, I'm here."
"Thanks." Taylor smiled. "So... whatever happened to that song you were writing?"
Rosie blushed.
"Oh, well, I finished it. But it's really stupid."
"I don't believe you. I bet it's not stupid at all."
"Yes it is."
"C'mon, why don't we go back to your place after and you can play it for me."
"Oh... I don't know..."
"Please?" Taylor said, giving her a puppy-dog face.
"I hate it when you do that. You know I can't resist that."
"Yep."
Rosie gave a small smile.
"Oh, ok. But just for you."
"Great."
There was quiet for a moment. But it was a comfortable silence. Then, completely out of the blue, Taylor leaned over and softly kissed her.
"T-Taylor?" she gasped as he pulled away.
He ran his fingers through her hair. Then he pulled back.
"Uhh, sorry." He said.
Rosie didn't know what to say. Taylor gave her a nervous glance.
"Rosie?"
"Yeah?"
"Can... can I kiss you again?"
A smile appeared on her face and she gave a slight nod.
