Chapter 3

Zac fell back, completely exhausted. Zoe started crying.

But at least she was alive.

Isaac picked her up to comfort her, and also started shaking Zac, trying to get him up. Then he smelt the fire.

"What the -"

*Get them out of there!* Taylor yelled in his head. *And be careful with Zoe - she's the one who started it!*

*What?*

*Show ya later… just hurry!*

"Oh, c'mon Zac." Isaac begged. "C'mon!"

The fire was getting bigger, and Isaac had no idea what to do… then inspiration struck.

Using his force fields, he managed to keep the fire away from Zac. Then, using Telekinesis, he picked up Zac with his mind.

And it must be said that it was rather a strain of Isaac's resources - he's never lifted people before.

Isaac ran, with Zac's partially unconscious body floating behind him and a crying Zoe wrapped up in his arms.

And boy, she sure was hot!

Fortunately, Isaac managed to get out of the house - the fire growing quickly. He got to Taylor and Mackie and delivered Zoe into Taylor hands, before turning into a car again.

*Hurry, get in!* Isaac said tiredly.

Soon they four of them were in the Isaac-mobile and he was driving back home again. Unfortunately, Isaac was so exhausted from all the shape shifting and taking Zac's weight telekinetically, it wasn't long before he had to 'pull up' by the side of the road and go back to human.

"I'm sorry man." Isaac panted. "I just can't go any further."

"Hey, that's ok." Taylor assured him. "Rest up for awhile - but don't go to sleep. We need you to get us back."

"Ok." Isaac yawned, falling asleep.

Taylor smiled, and turned his attention back to Zoe.

"Zoe? Zoe?" he whispered. "C'mon sweetie, just block it out ok?"

"I'm trying Tay-Tay." She sobbed.

"What's wrong with Zoe?" Mackie asked.

"She can hear things in her head Mackie." Taylor answered.

"Oh."

"I'm trying to help her stop from hearing those things."

"Oh. Ok."

"Tay-Tay? Gone now." Zoe whimpered.

"Good." Taylor replied, giving her a hug. "Good."
