"Borrow me?" Isaac repeated. "Hmm, whatcha want Tay?"
"I want to try something with my Deep Telepathy."
Isaac looked curious.
"What's that?"
"I want to figure out whether I can find specific memories out of someone's head."
"I thought you already knew you could do that."
"Well sure, I can find memories of things that happened recently. That's easy. And I can get to random memories, but I want to see if I can find specific memories that haven't happened recently."
"Oh. Ok. Have you asked anyone else?"
"Yeah, I asked Zac, but he said he didn't want me trying to get into his head any more, in case I find his memories of, uhh, that whole alien thing and the multiple timelines that he refuses to tell us about."
"Ohh. Typical. So, what memory are you gonna try and look for in my head?"
"I don't know. Ideas?"
"Hmm, how about the first time I ever ate ice cream?"
Taylor laughed.
"Sure."
Taylor focused, and sent out a probe into Isaac's willing mind. He tuned it to find Isaac's older memories and then again to find any reference to ice cream.
In a few minutes, he had found it, and he smiled when he did. Not just because he had been able to do what he had set out to do, but it was so cute…
With a grin, Taylor brought a copy of the memory to Isaac's conscious mind.
"Aww, how sweet." Isaac grinned once Taylor had removed his probe.
"Yeah, I noticed. Ice cream smeared all over your little face." He teased.
Isaac poked his tongue out at him.
"I'm assuming it worked then?"
"Yep! Like a charm."
"Cool, just… I hope you're not planning on poking around in there for blackmail worthy material or anything."
"Don't inspire me like that." Taylor replied. "Nah, I wouldn't do a thing like that. Zac might, but I wouldn't."
Isaac laughed.
