Chapter 1

Zac kissed Erin softly.

"I wish you didn't think we needed to break up." He said.

"Zac, I really like you, but I don't want to have a long-distance relationship with you."

"Yeah, I know." He sighed.

"But hey, we can still hang out next time you come to LA right?"

"Sure." Zac was all smiles. "Umm, ahh, I'd better go."

"Bye Zac."

"Bye Erin."

Zac wandered over to the bus after giving a reluctant wave. He sighed.

"Just broke up with your first girlfriend huh?" Isaac asked.

"Yeah. Not that you would care, you big player."

"I'm not a player. Geez."

"Yeah, I know." Zac answered, just not in the mood for teasing his brother. "I just like teasing you."

Isaac gave him a small smile.

"I'm not sure who's better off though." He said. "You, because you broke up with your girlfriend before a tour and therefore don't have to worry about having a long distance relationship. Or Tay, because Rach is still his girlfriend, but she's going off to college, so he does have a long distance relationship to contend with."

"I see." Taylor said, joining in. "Is it better to have a girlfriend you'll rarely see, or not have one at all."

"Exactly."

"Well, you're twenty, and you've never had one, even for five minutes. So I would say on some subconscious level you think it's better not to have one." Taylor replied with a grin.

"Well, thank you Tay. Thank you so much for reminding me that I'm such a loser for never having a girlfriend. Thank you, you have made my day."

"You're welcome."

Zac snickered.

"But hey Zac, you can always ask out Mary Anne." Isaac sniped.

"Would you quit picking on her?"

"Nope." Taylor grinned. "Actually it's no so much Mary Anne we're picking on, as it is the fact that you actually like her."

"Hey, she's really nice, ok?"

"Oh. She's nice." Isaac teased. "Well, that explains why you asked out Erin and not Mary Anne."

"Oh, shut up and leave me alone."

Zac stalked off, leaving Isaac and Taylor to give each other amused-yet-sheepish smiles.
