Zac, of course, had a good laugh at Taylor's attempts to get away, and was still in the process of deciding whether to rescue his brother or not.
Isaac was talking with Jonny Lang, and a new guitarist on the scene named Mason.
"I admit, I haven't heard any of your stuff yet." Isaac said to Mason.
"Hey, that's cool. I'm sure you will sooner or later." He replied with a smile.
Isaac grinned.
"What's your band called?" He asked.
"Fair Dinkum."
"Fair Dinkum?" Isaac repeated. "Well, that's an Aussie thing to say."
Mason laughed.
"Well, it was kinda the idea."
"I like it." Jonny put in. "By the way, who's the spunk on the drums?"
"That be Drew. She's is pretty hot huh?"
"Heck yeah."
"Just don't tell her I said that."
"Who else is in the band?" Isaac asked.
"Jo and Jim. They tend to trade off doing straight lead vocals and keyboards. Jo plays bass too." Mason answered.
"Bass huh?" Jonny began.
And inevitably the conversation turns to guitars and riffs and picks and other guitar type stuff which only guitarists can talk about and make sense of.
"Mandy! Babe!" Zac exclaimed, finally deciding to rescue Taylor. "Long time, no see."
"Uhh, hi Zac." She replied.
"How ya been?"
"Good."
"That's good. Look, I would love to stay and chat with you - all night in fact - but unfortunately I have to swipe Taylor so I can throw the avocado dip in his face."
"Say what?" Taylor asked.
"Zac that's not very -" Mandy began.
"Talk to you later gorgeous!" Zac interrupted. "Sibling rivalry waits for no chick."
And on that Zac dragged Taylor away, leaving Mandy to stare in confusion.
"Well, uhh, thanks Zac." Taylor said. "By the way, can I tell Mary Anne that you were flirting with Mandy?"
"I was not flirting. I was merely trying to send her into false sense of security."
Taylor opened his mouth to reply, then closed it again. Sometimes it's safer not to question Zac's logic, however strange it may seem.
