"Ready?"
"Err... yeah..."
The next few moments seemed to last forever.
"Hmm, that's funny. Nothing happened."
Zac opened an eye.
"Nothing?" he inquired.
Dustin shook his head in confusion.
"You may as well come out. I wonder why it didn't -"
Dustin was cut off by a rather strange noise. He turned in its direction only to see Zac in the middle of a pile of the tools that had been lying loose in the lab. And a tap had turned itself on and was spraying water in his direction.
"What happened?" Dustin asked.
"You know, I was gonna ask you the same thing! I just stepped of the pad and boom! Suddenly I'm being attacked from all sides."
Dustin stifled a laugh.
"Well, well, looks like it did work after all."
"It did?"
"Yes. Think about it Zac, you're good with surfing and video games. Surfing requires water," here Dustin gestured to the running tap, "video games require electricity, which it was I was using to stimulate you powers. This leads me to the conclusion that not only did it stimulate your powers, but it also showed you other powers we didn't know you had. An affinity with Electricity and Water."
"Oh. So, ahh, how do I get out of this mess?"
"If you're going to master your powers, then you must do it yourself. As soon as you're, ahh, cleaned up, I will send you back to Earth and unpause the time line."
"It's on pause?"
"Yes. And remember Zac. Time is of the essence. You must stop the restoration of the previous time line."
"Are you going to send me back in time again?"
"No. We don't like to meddle with time. Look at the problems we're having now!"
Dustin vanished.
