"Ahh!"
He stared wide-eyed at himself as his legs started melting. Or at least, that's what it looked like to him. Isaac fell forward and grabbed hold of the side of the bed.
Next thing he knew he was getting those thoughts and images again. Isaac shut his eyes tightly and gasped for breath as his legs became completely liquid and the melting still continued.
*Someone! Help me!* he cried, telepathically.
However, in his panic, he didn't realise that he had shouted with his mind and not his mouth.
Then, quite suddenly, the melting reversed and his legs restored to normal. Isaac was still holding the side of the bed, a cold sweat on his face and panting slightly.
The door flew open.
"Ike?" Taylor asked tentatively. "Are you ok?"
Isaac slowly turned his body so that he was still. He wiped his forehead with his sleave and looked at Taylor.
"I, I, I don't know."
Taylor gave him a concerned look before sitting down next to him. He leaned against the bed.
"You know the weirdest things have been happening to me lately."
Isaac gave him a sideways glance.
"What kind of weird things?" he asked.
Taylor was silent for a moment.
"Promise you won't laugh or anything?"
"Promise."
"Well, ok. See, umm... this is gonna sound really dumb. Umm, well, ok, sometimes - well it hasn't happened that often, umm, well..."
"What?"
Taylor took a deep breath.
"Ok. A couple of times, I got, my head... all these, I don't know, images and thoughts and stuff just kinda, filled my head."
"You too?" Isaac asked in amazement.
Taylor gave him a startled look.
"You've seen them too?"
"Stuff about Mackie and Zoe and, and you. Mainly you."
"Oh, my gosh, me too. Well, except it was you and not me. And, and it happened just, just then!"
Isaac nodded.
"Yes! Me too. And my legs, they started... ok, this is gonna sound really stupid, but they were, they were -"
"Turning into liquid?" Taylor asked. "Yeah, I saw it. It was in the images I got."
"What the heck is going on?"
