"What's going on?" Zac asked sleepily. "Why have we stopped?"
"It's Angie's dad," Taylor explained. "Bloodlust himself."
"Where. Is. Angela."
"Be careful," Zac said, waking up instantly. "He and his pack are trained assassins."
"How do you know?" Isaac yawned.
"Z told me."
"Before or after you kissed her?"
"I don't remember. Damn it Ike, it's the middle of the night and you still have to tease me."
"Z?" Bloodlust repeated. "So, you are MIA after all."
"No, I'm Zac. Taylor's the one that looks like a girl."
Before Taylor had a chance to object to that teasing remark, there was the sound of a breaking window and a knife came flying through the air towards Isaac. There was no time to stop it before it hit Isaac on the head, knocking him down, and stopping his force fields.
"Isaac!" Diana cried, holding Zoe close to her.
Isaac didn't move. But his empathic signature, like that of the driver's was still there, so Taylor felt that they both were still alive, as did Jess. But for how long? The knife hit Isaac on the head! What damage had been done?
One of the wolves lunged for Taylor while he dwelled on this. At the very moment Taylor realised this, the wolf suddenly stopped short. Zac had given it an electric shock.
"Bring it on!" Zac yelled, getting all gung ho.
He was standing in the hallway, zapping all the werewolves as they invaded the bus. There was nine of them, Taylor could sense. And of them, five were telepathic. A small smile crossed Taylor's face. There had to be some point to his ability to sense telepathic activity. He pushed himself as far back into his bunk as he could and tried to turn his mind into a sort of telepathic filter. The idea was to block all of the werewolves' messages to each other. United they stand, divided they fall.
"Where is Angela!" Bloodlust bellowed.
"We last saw her at the hotel," Walker spoke up, hoping by telling them what they wanted to know that they would go. "What her plans were after that, we don't know."
Bloodlust seemed to ponder this piece of information, as Zac kept zapping his people, but not with enough volts to kill them. Assassins or not, Zac was unwilling to kill, especially in front of his younger siblings.
"Well, she's obviously not here... but we still have to kill you," Bloodlust snarled. "You are MIA after all, and we don't like MIA agents!"
His pack snarled their agreement. And the attack intensified. One came at Avie...
"Nice shot!" Zac said, after seeing her shoot the wolf with lasers.
Avie just gasped. There was a nice big hole in the wolf that attacked her.
Bloodlust charged at Zac. Zac fell to the floor from the force. For a moment, as Zac looked into the eyes of Bloodlust he was scared. Suddenly Bloodlust started shaking - he was being electrocuted! But how?
Then Zac noticed it. Not realising, he had created an electric shield of sorts around his body, and Bloodlust, who was on top of him, was being electrocuted.
One of the other werewolves, pushed Bloodlust off. He (or she) was not affected by the volts, and the wolf's eyes seemed to taunt him so. A paw was lifted to stab him with his (or her) claws but Zac turned into water before they touched him.
"Thought you had me then huh?" asked a watery Zac in a watery voice. "I'm gonna kick your scrawny little werewolf butt!"
