Chapter 2

"Ok, That's freaky." Jess said, watching Zac drink a glass of water.

"Thank you so much for your sympathy." Zac muttered.

"Gee, sorry." She replied sarcastically.

Zac's mouth had turned into water as he drank the water. As he swallowed, his mouth returned to its human state but Jess could guess that his throat and whatever else was in the path of the water also briefly turned into water.

"Would you not stare?" Zac asked rudely.

Jess just got up and stalked off. Zac sighed.

"You're a freak." He said to himself and banged his head on the cupboard.

"Ouch - hey what's that?"

Zac reached over and picked something up. It's was Taylor's rock, the one that had somehow captured his mind. Taylor had done some experimenting with it since they returned to Tulsa. While they couldn't figure out how the heck it was able to capture Taylor's mind, when other rocks couldn't, they were able to learn some other things.

Like when Taylor went back into it for the first time, he was able to remember the song he'd come up with at the petrol station. Something that seemed so long ago.

Zac jerked his head up. He was getting that creepy feeling people get when they think they're being watched. Not seeing anyone, he tried to shake the feeling off.

He put the rock in his pocket with the intention of giving it to Taylor when next he saw him, then he turned to the fridge and threw open the door.

"Food." He said to himself.

"My sentiments exactly." said Dan, Rachel's brother, walking in.

"Hey Dan, when did you get here?"

"Thirty seconds ago."

Dan sauntered over to Zac and stood next to him peering into the fridge.

"Hey umm, this might sound like a strange idea, but don't you think you should raid your own fridge?" Zac asked. "And not ours?"

Dan ignored him, then shut the fridge door, and started going through the cupboards. Dan seemed to have changed a lot since Zac last spoke to him. He was getting that whole bikie look about him.

"Dude, you have no food in this place." Dan complained.

"Well, there are nine people living here." A wry smile came on his face. "Ten if you count Rachel."

Dan snickered.

"You wanna get some Maccas?"

"No. I've had more than enough of that on tour. I'm getting really sick of it."

"Whatever."
