As a result, they were forced to cancel the next few performances, as Zac was in no state to perform. And not just because his nose was running like a train, his throat (and subsequently his voice) felt like barbed wire and he had a headache roughly the equivalent of three elephants jumping on his temples.
Oh no, to add insult to injury, his powers seemed to have the flu too. Every time he sneezed, sparks and bolts of electricity seemed to flew everywhere. His snot was even diluted in water, and well... we just won't go into what his Restoration was doing.
One may ask, and rightly so, well, why couldn't Jessica heal him? After all, what good is a sister who has Healing, if she can't take away the evilness that is the flu?
Well, Jessica had come down with it too. Her powers were busy trying to heal herself first. Some may call that selfish...
So the Hansons were at home while their kids fought off the flu, and the Connorys (perhaps unwisely, given the sickness), were staying with them for a little while before heading off elsewhere.
Isaac and Carla were making out in the lounge room. And as always this sent them into shapeshifter liquid mode, and merged with each other. Aww, isn't that so sweet?
While this was going on, Zac happened to walk in, and before he could properly take note of his surroundings, let loose a ferocious sneeze. Bolts of volts went everywhere, and one of them hit Isaac and Carla.
Zac took a moment to compose himself, took note of the increasing number of damaged areas he would have to restore later, and then saw the puddle on the lounge.
Uh oh... he didn't hit Isaac or Carla (whichever one it was) did he?
Then, so his relief, the puddle began to move, and shift back into Isaac and Carla. Zac was of mixed feelings. On the one hand he felt bad for zapping them, on the other, he thought it was kinda cool that he got both of them.
"You guys okay?" he asked in concern.
"Oh yes, quite fine," Carla said.
"I'm sorry I zapped you."
"Oh, don't worry," she went on cheerfully. "It was an accident. These things happen."
"Are you insane?" Isaac bellowed. "He could have killed us! You should be a hell of a lot more careful, you flea-brained ball of electricity!"
"I... I said I was sorry..." Zac said nervously.
"Sorry just doesn't cut it!"
"Aren't you being justa teensy, weensy bit harsh?"
Isaac shot Carla a menacing stare. Carla bit her lip and shyed away.
"I'm outta here," Isaac said.
And on that, he stood and left the house, leaving Zac staring after him.
