Chapter 2

*Whoo hoo!*

Taylor floated around in circles. He was one happy cookie.

Finally, at long last, he had learned what hospital his family was at. That was the good news.

The bad news was that the person who's thoughts he had read was heading into the exact opposite direction. The irony being she had just been there yesterday.

And so now he had to wait until he found someone who was going in that direction.

But Taylor didn't want to think about that right now.

*This is so great!*

He just kept flying around and around in circles and loops and any other way he could maneuver.

*Hey!* he cried, suddenly stopping short. *I just got the best idea for a song!*

Taylor's celebrations wavered for a moment.

*Damn, I can't write it* he complained. *I need to start working on this - right now!*

He whirled around the people, hoping there'd be some way he could do this.

He couldn't find anything.

Taylor grumbled.

*Oh well, I'll just have to remember it by myself.*

He started, ahh, humming the tune and the words he made up on the spot to himself, trying to keep the song in his head. Something he hated was when you have a new song in your head, and then you forget how it goes before you can do anything with it.

If only there were a way he could record it!

*Why is it that no one else has Deep Telepathy? I wouldn't have to worry then. They could just pick the memory out of my brain when I get back.*

That sobered him up.

*I have to get back.*

If he could have, Taylor would have let out a huge sigh. It had been days since the accident and he had been having so many problems trying to get there. Now how soon he finally got there rested on the chances that someone who came to the petrol station would be headed to the hospital.

After all, it was entirely possible that Taylor could have picked any random person and made them drive him all the way over, then wiped their memory, but so far he had only been able to hold control for a brief period of time.

Besides, he thought that would be mean, and despite the necessity, he didn't really like taking over people's bodies.

*Ok, ok, quit thinking about that and start thinking about this song.* he scolded himself. *Someone's bound to come along... right?*
