Rachel gave her boyfriend a confused look.
"It's not."
"Oh? Are you gonna do some weather manipulation just for me?"
She raised an eyebrow.
"No."
"But if you don't, it'll rain!"
"Tay, it's not gonna rain."
Taylor stared at her.
"Oh, c'mon! Didn't you see the storm clouds outside?"
"Yeah, I did."
"And the weather guy said it was going to rain!"
"So?"
"It's an outdoor venue in case you didn't notice."
"Taylor, it isn't going to rain."
"How do you know?"
She gave him a look.
"Three words. Affinity with Weather. Besides, I'm not hyper today."
Taylor didn't quite know what to say. Rachel kissed his cheek.
"C'mon Tay, who do you trust most on the matter of predicting rain? Some radio weather guy? Or your girlfriend?"
He smiled.
"Sorry, it's just… well, Ike and I don't quite have Zac's immunity to electrocution."
"Really? No kidding?" she joked.
"Say, do you have an immunity?"
"Me? Why would I have one?"
"Well, y'know, because lightning is a form of electricity isn't yet?"
"Well, yeah, but… hmm, I don't know. God question though. I can be affected by the weather, y'know. I get hot and cold and stuff just like everyone else. I imagine I can be hurt by it too, but, hmm, of course, when I got triggered there was what happened with the lightning bolt… I don't know."
Taylor laughed.
"Well, we have the rest of our lives to figure it out. Uhh, sorry for doubting you. About the rain."
"Hey, that's ok, Tay. I'm sure if I was in your shoes I would have panicked too."
"I wasn't panicking."
"Yes you were."
"Nu-uh."
"Denial isn't just a river in Egypt."
"Huh?"
"Denial. The Nile. Hello?"
"Oh yeah, duh. Well, I'm not in either thank you."
"Sure you aren't."
And so on.
