"Now bring him back." Walker smiled.
"Bring him back?" Zac said. "Why on earth would we want to do a thing like that?"
"Yeah, we're glad to be rid of him." Taylor added with a grin.
"C'mon!" Jess demanded, "where is he?"
"Hopefully somewhere a long, long way from here." Taylor answered. "And now, our next trick… as you can see, and ordinary pack of cards. Anyone want to shuffle?"
Taylor handed the cards to Diana who gave them a quick shuffle.
"Ok. Now everyone pick a card, and Taylor the umm, Terrific, and I use the term loosely, mind you," Zac grinned, "will be able to tell each of you exactly what card your holding. So, don't show it to him. Otherwise it'll wreck the trick."
They all picked a card. Isaac, who, as we know was the wall surface behind them, was able to clearly see exactly what each card was, and so told Taylor telepathically what they were.
"Ok, Dad, you have… the Ten of Spades. Mom has the Queen of Clubs, Zoe has the Two of Hearts, Mackie has the Eight of Hearts, Avie has the Ace of Diamonds and Jess has the Five of Spades."
"How'd you do that?" Jess demanded.
"A magician never reveals his secrets."
"That's what they all say, but some of them still do."
"Ok, ok, now we're gonna do another trick." Zac said. "Usually people will cut up ties and put them back together, but I decided to use a shirt instead, just to be different."
"Hey! That's my favourite shirt!" Jess objected.
"Really? Oops." Zac replied, as the scissors cut it not-so-neatly in two.
"Zac…" Diana began.
"Oh gee, I'm sorry Jess." Zac continued. "Tell you what, if I can't put it back together, I'll buy two."
Jess looked really upset. Zac cut the two pieces a few more times (only to Jess's further distress) and then dumped them in a bowl. He then started using his Restoration power…
"The Magic Words."
Zac lifted up the shirt, all in one piece. Jess gaped at him and immediately took it from his hands to thoroughly inspect it.
"Y-you did it." She said in amazement.
"Just don't you two try something like that again." Walker said. "You shouldn't upset your sister like that."
"Yeah, ok, sorry Jess." Zac said.
