Chapter 3

"And now, you will see before you a pen. An ordinary pen." Zac said, holding it up.

"Well, actually it's a dead pen." Taylor put in. "It ran out of ink."

*Really?* Isaac joked to Taylor. *I had no idea I ran out of ink.*

For, of course, Isaac had finished being a surface, and was now a pen. Ahh, the life of a shape shifter.

"Ahem, as you can see, there is nothing up my sleeves other than my hairy armpits." Zac continued. "I will now turn this pen into… something else."

"Like what? A pencil?" Jess snickered.

"No, that would be boring." Zac replied, covering the pen with a rather large hanky. "The Magic Words."

As Zac was saying "The Magic Words", Isaac had started changing… again. This time into a bird.

"Oh cool!" Avie said. "Can I hold it?"

"Umm, guess not." Taylor answered as the 'bird' flew away. "Stupid bird."

*I resent that.* Isaac said.

*No you resemble that.*

Isaac took the opportunity to shape shift back to the chest, but not in it yet.

"Hey Tay?"

"Yep?"

"What are all these plates and pieces of fruit for?"

"Ohh man…" Taylor complained. "It's one of Ike's tricks. Y'know, he can make the plates spin."

"Oh. Well, he's not here, so I guess we'll have to forget it then."

"No! I wanna see!" Avie insisted.

"But Avie, we'll have to bring him back again… oh, ok." Taylor said. "Zac?"

"Ok, ok." Zac answered, locking up the chest again.

The held the curtain in front of it and said "The Magic Words", just as Isaac shape shifted back into the chest. When Isaac was in position, he let Taylor know and the chest was unlocked.

"Whoo hoo!" Avie and Mackie cheered as Isaac stepped out.

"Your trick Ikers…" Zac said. "Spin da plates."

It was rather a lame finale, but Isaac, using his Telekinesis again, stood the plate on sticks on the table and made them spin. With fruit sitting precariously on the edges.

Although, one would have to admit, it was rather interesting when he started spinning the plates off his head…

Their audience clapped when they had finished, and the three brothers grinned cheekily at each other.
