Chapter 19

"Jess!"

Jess and Avie burst out laughing at the look on Isaac's face. He wagged a finger at her.

"Don't go meddling with my dreams girlie. I was trying to catch up on sleep. Spent the whole night searching for Zac, Mackie and Zoe."

"Sorry." Jess replied, a little embarrassed. "But you should have seen the look on your face."

Isaac gave them a look, then his eyes lit up slightly.

"So… been in Taylor's head yet?"

"No, want me to pay a visit?"

Isaac grinned at her, and she opened her block to Taylor's dream.

"Whoa… this is so weird…" she said. "He's already in a dream."

"What's happening?" Avie asked.

"He's in a mall, and he's clutching at his head. No one's paying any attention and he's yelling 'get out of my head'."

Isaac and Avie looked at each other.

"Ok, now there's some people forming a circle around him… oh my gosh, it's us! We're standing around him and just staring at him and he's lying on the ground clutching his head. He's screaming at us to get out of his head." Jess was obviously upset. "I'm gonna try and help him…"

Isaac and Avie waited.

"Ok, I've made everyone disappear… he's standing up and looking around. He's ok, no more screaming or anything… I'm gonna give him a change of scenery. Suggestions?"

"Put him in a meadow with Rach." Isaac joked. "Y'know, those ol' movies? John! Marsha! John! Marsha!"

He laughed to himself. Jess and Avie grinned.

"Ok, one meadow coming up… they're running towards each other - slow motion and everything." Jess giggled. "Oh, I wish you could see this."

"Hey, if Tay remembers what happens, he can send it to me telepathically." Isaac said.

"Cool." Jess said.

"Damn." Avie complained.

"Aww, big smoochy kiss." Jess chuckled. "Ok, ok, this is beginning to remind me of Zac's dream and that's not go- oh man…"

"What?" Avies asked.

"He's shouting at Rach now. He's telling her to get out of his head. Damn this I'm gonna wake him up. Thunderstorm a coming."

Two seconds later, Taylor shot up.

"You ok Tay?" Isaac asked. "Sounds like some dream you were having."

Taylor looked at them warily, then stared at Jess suspiciously.

"I tried to stop the stuff in your head." Jess admitted. "But the only thing that seems to have worked is waking you up."

Taylor was silent.

"Thanks." He said finally.

"Telepathy?" Isaac inquired.

Taylor nodded slowly.

"Yeah, Telepathy."

But inside, Taylor knew it wasn't so much Telepathy that was bothering him in the dream, as it was hearing those random thoughts again.
