He cupped his hands together, and filled them with water enjoying a nice long drink. It was kind of weird, putting water into his body that he had just taken out of it.
He yawned, and started looking around the basement again. Then he spotted the chocolate bars.
"Of course!" he cried, picking up the screwdriver and bounding over to the door.
However, just has he was putting his hand over the hinges, a thought occurred to him… perhaps he should wait until later before he unscrewed them. Chances were that the kidnappers would still be asleep, but then, he was awake wasn't he?
Sighing, Zac hid the screwdriver again. He didn't want to get caught on the way out!

At around the same time Isaac was waking up from his dream, another lot of chocolate bars had been thrown in through the door. After making certain they hadn't been poisoned, Zac gave them all one.
"Zacky?"
"Yes Zoe?"
"I wanna go home."
"Yeah, me too."
"When are we going home?" Mackie asked.
"Soon." Zac assured him. "In fact - and don't tell anyone I said this, but we just might escape tonight."
Mackie smiled happily.

Hours passed. Isaac and Taylor had started searching again. It was dark enough for them to get out of the house without being seen.

At around the same time, Zac finally got up and headed over to the hinges again with the screwdriver. He put his hand over each of them in turn, and restored them to the state they were before they got rusty.
Zac smiled when it worked, and started with the screwdriver.

*Ike! Ike! I found them!*
*What! Where?*
*Last house on the left.*

"Zoe? I don't think you should touch that. It's looks dangerous." Mackie said.
Zoe didn't listen. The next thing Zac heard was Zoe cry out. He leapt down the stairs.
"Zoe!" He cried.
For she had found some electrical wires sticking out of the wall. Zac hadn't realised they were there or he would have done something about them long before now… now that Zoe was holding them… and was being electrocuted.
He grabbed her, pulling her away from the wires, and focused his power on trying to drain away all the electricity that was killing her.
