He paused for a moment, trying to shake out the sensation. This was the millionth time this week! Ok, maybe not the millionth, but it sure felt like it.
Taylor couldn't understand why either. First of all, he had his telepathic block up, so he shouldn't be getting any thoughts from anyone, well, except Isaac, to whom he always kept his block open for receiving. Secondly, these people were not necessarily telepathic, and as far as they knew telepaths could only connect with the minds of people who were also telepathic. Besides, even if they were telepathic, he should be getting a flood of thoughts and images, not a single, random thought or image.
He sighed, and continued his walk.

"Are we all seated?" Isaac asked. "Good."
The Hanson family was sitting comfortably in the lounge room. Walker, Diana, Jess, Avie, Mackie and Zoe were all seated, with Isaac, Taylor and Zac standing in front of them.
"We're decided that if music doesn't work out, we're going to go into magic." Taylor joked.
"And, for our first trick, we're gonna make umm, Avie's Barbie doll float in the air." Zac grinned.
"Cool!" Avie said gleefully. "Just don't wreck her Zac."
She gave him a look. Zac grinned.
"Ahem." Isaac said.
He picked up the victim Barbie doll.
"As you can see, an ordinary Barbie doll, well, except for the burn marks from when Zac started to set her alight last summer." Isaac said. "I will now place her on this table, say the magic words, and she will float in the air for say… oh, ten seconds. Ahem… The Magic Words."
Isaac laughed at his own lame joke, and, using his telekinesis, the Barbie did float in the air for ten seconds.
"Awesome! Do it again!" Avie said.
Isaac just gave her a grin.
"And now," Zac said, with a twinkle in his eye, "Taylor and I are finally gonna get to do something we've wanted to do for a long time."
"Make Ike disappear." Taylor grinned. "Ok, a pair of Mackie's fake handcuffs."
"They aren't fake!" Mackie objected.
"Good! If they're real, so much better."
Zac handcuffed Isaac's hands behind his back.
"Also," Taylor continued, "a bit of rope we swiped from the garage, an ordinary chest and a cloth bag… we're now going to tie him up, seal him in the cloth bag and lock him in the chest… with three padlocks."
Once this was done, Zac picked up a large cloth.
"This is an ordinary bit of curtain probably stolen from some concert performance." He grinned at them. "When we say the magic words, Ike will finally have disappeared."
He and Taylor held the cloth - alleged bit of curtain - in front of the chest. Together they said "The Magic Words" and dropped the curtain. Then they slowly unlocked the chest. After opening it, Zac picked up the empty cloth bag.
"See? Told ya we could make him disappear."
