The Specimen Family

Introduction

Ellanora was a member of a pirate ship crew. However, after a few too many battles with rival pirate ships and bad storms, their captain died. Deciding to cut their loses, the remaining crew decided to split what was left of their treasure between them and go their separate ways.
Ellanora found a quaint little neighbourhood called "Experihood". The local population all had interesting last names, so she decided to pick one that would fit in. Y'know, so she would stand out as little as possible. Wouldn't do for them to find out she used to be a pirate! So she chose the last name 'Specimen', and moved in next door to the 'Test-Subject's, into a big, empty lot.

Unfortunately, Ellanora had been so used to having money, that she hadn't really comprehended just how much the lot had cost. Too embarrassed to admit that the remaining sum left her barely able to meet her basic requirement, she didn't try to get out of the deal, and forced herself to make do. Surely she'd be able to enrich herself again soon? Right?
Making use of the skills she developed pirating, Ellanora took a job as a Team Mascott. She had been tempted to step into the criminal career track, but decided against that - she was retired now, and she wanted to attract as little attention to her past life as possible.
To this end, she began making friends with the local populace. Primarily, the mail carrier, Pao.

They fell in love, and got married virtually straight after their engagement was announced. And not long thereafter, baby Jack (named after one of Ellanora's old... friends) was being introduced into the world.

Slowly, Ellanora and Pao (who had gotten a job in the slacker career), got themselves promoted, and started building their house. Ellanora didn't mind too much living out on the lawn whilst they were waiting, having been used to much worse, but Pao was adamant that this was no way to bring up their son.
In Ellanora's off time, she would paint masterpieces, and Pao would grow flowers. Jack became a toddler, and Ellanora would entertain him with pirate stories.

"I wanna be a pirate too!"

When it was time for Jack to become a child, Pao threw him a birthday party. Inspired by his mother's "fictional" stories, Jack donned a pirate outfit, and insisted on wearing it all the time.
Slowly but surely, their foundation started developing rooms.

Update #1

It wasn't long before Jack became a teenager, and chose the Fortune aspiration, just like his Mum. He took a job in the business career track.
Pao came home one day with a promotion to Home video Editor. However, cooking his omelette for breaky one morning resulted in Pao setting himself on fire. Before long, there was nothing but ashes left.
Ellanora went through a few promotions, but finally topped the Athletic track and became a Hall of Famer.

Ellanora and Jack would often spent time together just painting masterpieces.
Jack, in turn, became an overachiever when he got his promotion to Executive assistant - the top of the teen business career track.

Throughout their money making, further extensions to the house are made - including more suitable developments of the family crypt.
Then one day, Ellanora became an elder, and Jack persuaded her to write a collection of her pirate stories. It sold better than She expected.

Not long thereafter, Jack became an adult. This spurred a promotion to Senior Manager. He also took a moment to proposed to Marie - a pizza delivery woman he had taking a liking to, and befriended. She accepted and they married on the spot.
Marie got herself a job in the business career track as well, but was immediately put on Maternity leave.

Apparently Marie thought she should regain her figure before she went into labour...

Baby Peg is born (introducing Gen3), named after Ellanora's best friend from her pirating days. Peg was always made out to be a bit of a hero (pirately speaking) in Ellanora's stories, and Jack thought it was appropirate. Marie just liked the name.
Before long, Peg became a toddler.

Update #3

Jack decided to write a novel of his own, also about pirates, and gets 3060 simoelons for its sale.
Soon thereafter, he becomes a Business Tycoon, and builds a seaport, successfully earning $30,000 for his efforts.

Peg becomes a child and Jack's first concern is to get her into private school. Strangeley enough, all he did whilst the Headmaster was over was to teach Peg to study, whilst Marie (now pregnant with baby #2) cooked and Ellanora did all the hardwork entertaining the headmaster. All the effort paid off, and Peg got into Private school.

One night, Ellanora was selling her latest painting when she realised that it's sale took her over her want to make $100,000!
Thrilled by her success, Ellanora decided to retire (besides, she had just used up the last of her holidays). Now was the time to relax and swim in all those simoleons, err, glory in her success.

Jack and Peg already miss Marie

Baby Mary (after Marie? or another pirate?) is born, however, the very day that she becomes a toddler, the family loses Marie!
Jack didn't know why... he thought she had been happy... so why did she starve herself?
Over the next few nights, Jack gets scared by Pao's ghost, and Ellanora is stared by Marie's.

Peg as a teen

Peg becomes a teen, and announces her intention of following the family tradition, as it were, and aspiring to fortune.
Mary becomes a child, and Peg gets herself a job in law enforcement.
