The Prototype Family

Introduction

Peter Prototype won a small lottery, bringing his total funds to $20,000, so he went out to celebrate with his friends. As they got themselves drunk (all but the slimy and sneaky designated driver), Peter was asked what he would do with the money. Peter said that he thought he'd like to get a house, start a family, and of course, get a career to continue his monetary good luck. Perhaps get a job in politics to keep the simoleon juices flowing.
His friends discussed this plan (and you must remember that they were all rather off the wall by this stage), it started getting a little crazy. They started making wild suggestions about what else he should do, like buy a huge plot of land, and to stay there for ten generations. And then someone, namely the designated driver, who was completely sober, as you'll remember, got it into his head to draw up a contract containing all the ideas they had come up with to supplement Peter's plans. Should Peter fail to meet them, all his (or his heirs) money and possessions would be split up amongst his friends at the bar (or their heirs).
If he hadn't been so drunk, Peter wouldn't have signed it.
But he did, and the following day after everyone else had forgotten about it, the driver produced the contract. After much arguing, Peter had no choice but to go through with it.

Peter's "house"

So he bought a nice large 5x5 lot (the price of which freaked him out), and bought some bare necessities in furniture. The land had a steep slope, so he built a porch foundation so he would actually have somewhere to put his things. He found a job in politics like he wanted, and met the neighbours.

Peter and Christy marry

A few days later he had his first promotion, and celebrating by getting a bathroom. With walls even. Soon thereafter, he married Christy, a family-aspired women whom he fell instantly in love with. Christy brought $16,000 with her, and with this money they were able to make some much needed extensions to the house.

Chris is born!

A few days later, they had a son, Chris, as named after his mother.
Not long after Chris became a toddler, their second son, Typet was born.
About the time Chris became a child, and Typet a toddler, Peter was fortuitous enough to earn $30,000 as a result of a successful election campaign. A second floor, with actual bedrooms, two new bathrooms, a nursery and much needed new furniture.
With about 11 promotions between Peter and Christy under their belts, their third son, Tyter was born.

Update #1

Realising in her fourth pregnancy that if she wished to have 10 children (and she did), Christy would have to live longer. So she bought some Elixir of Life, and talked Peter into having some too. Both downed a whole vial, each adding 15 days to their adult lives.

Happy birthday Typet!

Typet became a child the same day that Tyter became a toddler, and the following day, daughter #1, Peta was born.
Peter became best friends with Tyter. This made 10 best friends (and put a promotion in the bag for his next day of work) and inspired Peter to triple the number of best friends he had.
Then the moment that Peter and Christy had bother looked forward to and dreaded at the same time: Chris would soon become a teenager. In fact, he would be a teen the same day that Tyter would become a child and Peta a toddler. In light of this triple birthday, Peter decided to throw a birthday party. Naturally he invited over the next two people he planned on becoming best friends with (not at all self serving there, no, not at all!)

Unfortunately for Peter, the party was a disaster! He had no idea what went wrong. He thought he had carefully catered to all his guests needs. The kids all grew up with no problems - Chris had become a knowledge sim. So what went wrong? The impact hit Peter so hard, he went into the red. He couldn't even talk to Christy about it as she had already gone to be - this fifth pregnancy had truly exhausted her - she hadn't even showered recently.
In the morning, Peter decided to make up for it and apologise to one of his friends from the party last night, but it was early in the morning - way too early to make a call. So instead he fed Peta, and started to teach her to use the potty and walk - although he completed neither by the time 7:00am rolled around. He stopped teaching Peta and ran to the phone to ring - a call which resulted in him making another best friend, and put him in the gold.

"What do I do?"

Whilst Peter was on the phone, treating his near nervous breakdown, Christy went into labour right in front of Typet and Chris (who was freaking out not knowing what to do). Then, ta da, P'Risty Prototype was born!
Not long thereafter, Peter and the boys went to work and school respectively - and Peter, despite the disastrous party the night before, came home with a promotion to Senator.

Update #2

P'Risty becomes a toddler one day, and the following Peta becomes a child and Typet becomes a teen. Typet was enjoying being part of a large family, and thus became a family sim.

P'Risty soon becomes a child, and Chris makes his parents proud when he comes home from work with a promotion to Emergency Medical Technician, making him an over achiever.
The Prototypes got a new neighbour, who decided to pay a visit. Peter didn't know how to react when he realised that their new neighbour was none other than Sly Trial! The designated driver who got him into the whole contract to begin with.

Showdown

"What are you doing here?" Peter demanded.
"Now, now, Peter, what kind of investor would I be if I didn't keep a close eyes on my investments?"
It was only for the watchful eyes of his children that he didn't punch him one right there. After all, he needed to set a good example for impressionable minds.

Update #3

Peter was demoted to judge after running from strange, black helicopters.
Typet was promoted to recruit training corps and became an overacheiver.
