Zac and Ezara pulled away. Zac opened his mouth to say something rather cutting, when… all of a sudden…
"I love you. You love me." A voice sang. "We're a happy family."
They all looked.
"Oh no!" yelled Taylor. "It's a big purple dinosaur!"
"Everyone run! Barney's here!" Zac shouted.
And so the four, well, six because Kristin and Janet were with them, ran off as fast as they could.
After that had ran some distance, they stood panting behind the shed.
"Phew, how'd he get here?" Isaac asked with a suspicious look at Janet.
"Hey, don't look at me. I'm not the only interdimensional summoner in the world."
"Yeah, well, he's obviously works for the Deadly Silence." Taylor commented.
"Actually, Barney doesn't work for anyone. Even the Deadly Silence can't stand him." Ezara told them.
"Oh, well, that explains how he got in here then." Zac replied.
"There you are!" Barney cried happily.
"Ahh!" They all yelled, and started running again.
Suddenly, a hung black portal opened up in front of them. Before they could avoid it, all six of them ran into it. Fortunately, it closed before Barney could follow them in.
"Whoa… where are we?" Kristin asked, looking around.
They were standing in a forest by a wagon. And they all looked different. Kristin looked like an enchantress, with beautiful robes and a staff with an orb on the end that kept changing colours. Janet was dressed as a woman warrior - later they heard her being called an Amazon. Isaac was dressed as a minstrel. Zac was a warrior. Ezara was in a black, hooded robe - an Oracle they learned later - and Taylor was a gypsy.
"This is Mythicanna." Ezara replied, her voice going quiet. "It's one of the lands in the Mirror Universe."
"The Mirror Universe?" Zac repeated. "Isn't that where you're, umm, from?"
"Yes." She answered. "We must be careful. There are many lands here and we are liable to change appearances in each one, or not change…"
"We need to get back." Janet said. "But my powers won't work here."
"No. I think the only ones that can help us are the Mirroroids."
"Mirroroids?" Taylor repeated. "And they are…"
"They are the guardians, I guess you could call them. When the barrier between this universe and the real one isn't breaking like it is now, they control movement between them. Nonetheless, I imagine they can still send us back through. We should get going."
