"What went wrong? Fine, she was so quiet."

Taylor and Zac looked at each other.

"She was quiet." Taylor repeated. "And this is bad how?"

"She barely said a word to me all evening."

Zac snickered.

"She was probably scared one of her bikie friends would hear her."

"Shut up Zac."

"Oh, c'mon Ike! She goes around as if she owns the whole world. She's stuck up and -"

"Shut up Zac." Taylor said.

Zac folded his arms and glared at them.

"Just you wait. I'm right, you'll see."

Sometime later Zac was in the bathroom staring at himself miserably.

"Why me?" he asked aloud. "Why, why me?"

He held up his hand to the mirror. Upon touch, his hand started glowing. The mirror became hollow and his reflection was no longer his.

"Hi Zac." Said a whispery voice that floated from the figure in the mirror. "You regret."

"Of course I regret! I wish you never approached me. I mean, why me?"

"Because you alone have the power Zac."

"Yeah, but why me alone?"

"That I cannot answer. The truth will reveal itself in time."

"I hate waiting."

The figure smiled.

"Wait, observe, practice. The world depends on you -"

"- to save it from a deadly silence. What the heck is a deadly silence anyway?"

"The truth will reveal itself in time. In time. Time."

The figure vanished and the mirror returned to normal.
