A smile grew on his face as he looked at the cat.
"Excellent. Please, get it for me."
"A crystal ball?" Zac repeated. "Ok, this just gets weirder and weirder."
"The Crrrystal Ball is parrrt of the storrry. It has grrreat powerrr, but it's full powerrr can only be used by the girrrl who has the ability to stop the Essence frrrom changing the landscape any furrrther. We usually call the girrrl, the Crrrystal Master, for that it is thrrrough crrrystals that herrr powerrr can be tapped."
"So, how can it help us?" Isaac asked.
"The Crrrystal can be used to find the Crrrystal Masterrr. I trrried it once many yearrrs ago, in hopes to trrrigger herrr powerrrs in advance, but she was too young forrr me to rrreally be able to find herrr. I haven't trrried it since."
"What if she's dead?" Janet asked suddenly. "I mean, you did say it was many years ago. Maybe she's dead. Or maybe the Essence has her..."
"No. The storrries say the Essence can't touch herrr. In fact, the Essence must flee within sight of herrr. But she cannot defeat him. Only you, Zac, can defeat the Essence. Only you have that powerrr."
"So everyone keeps reminding me."
"Masterrr Slink!" the cat cried entering the room. "The Crrrystal Ball! It glows!"
In the cats paw, sure enough was a crystal ball, glowing brightly.
"That can only mean that the Crrrystal Master is in this very building." Slink informed them.
The leopard put his paws carefully on the Crystal.
"Show us, oh Crystal Ball, who is the Crystal Master?" he asked.
They all looked in the crystal.
"T-that's Kristin!" Zac exclaimed. "And, and she and Tay are awake!"
"Not to mention making out." Isaac added with a wince. "Please, turn it off."
Zac grinned at him.
"Tay-Tay's got a girlfriend." He sang.
