The first thing that Taylor saw was not a giant head like Daria. It was a beautiful lady dressed in silk and great jewels. She also had wings. Taylor bowed.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" The lady demanded.
"Please, I'm Taylor and I would very much like some brains, if you could give them to me... please?"
The Lady was silent for a moment.
"I will grant your request on one condition. That you kill the Wicked Witch of the West."
Taylor digested this.
"But, didn't you ask Daria to do that?"
"So I did. But until the Witch is dead, I will not grant you request. You can't get something for nothing you know. Now, go."
So Taylor left, and like Daria had done the day before, he told the others what the Wizard had told him.
"Well, I guess we'll go together." Daria said woefully to Taylor.
"I guess we will." Taylor replied.

The following day it was Isaac's turn. He was escorted to the throne room and entered alone.
There was no head, nor lady. There was, instead, a great beast. It was almost as large as an elephant, with multiple legs and arms and the head of a rhinoceros, but with more eyes, and a wooly body.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" the beast asked in a guttural voice.
"I'm Isaac, a tin man, and I wish for you to give me a heart, if you can."
A long silence followed.
"To get the heart you so desire, you must help your friends to kill the Wicked Witch of the West. Now be gone!"
And Isaac had to leave, feeling somewhat unhappy about the result.

Zac went to see the Great Oz the day after that. When he entered the throne room he saw a great ball of fire.
"Who are you and what do you want?" came the voice.
"P-p-please... I'm Zac... and I want... I want... I want some c-c-courage."
Zac half excepted to be told to kill the Wicked Witch of the West. He was right. He dismally joined his friends.
"I have to kill the witch too." He informed them.
"Then shall we, shall we leave tomorrow?" Isaac asked.
"Sounds good to me." Taylor answered.
"Oh dear. I don't want to kill anyone." Daria said.
"Neither do I. But we must if you are to go home, and I'm to get my heart."
"And my brains."
"And my courage."
The following day, they left the Emerald City, and followed the road to the West.
