"What on earth! Laura! I'm trying to have a shower in case you hadn't noticed." Taylor exploded.
"Oh my goodness, you actually spoke to me." Laura retorted.
"Would you please leave? I like having privacy when I'm in the shower thank you."
"Well, I figured this would be the best place to strike up conversation." Laura answered smoothly. "You've only been avoiding me for how many weeks now? You can't avoid me here."
There was quiet for a moment.
"It was Ikes' idea wasn't it?"
"You betcha. You know, he does come up with some pretty great ideas."
"Whatever."
There was another silence.
"This is about the party isn't it?" Laura finally asked.
Taylor didn't answer.
"Look, Taylor, forget about it ok? You were drunk. Just, forget about it."
Taylor slammed his fist into the wall.
"Damn it Laura, I can't forget about it. That's the whole problem!"
"Hmm, drunk enough to lose control, not enough to forget." Laura commented.
"The whole thing is just so embarrassing."
"You get embarrassed easily don't you?"
There was yet another silence.
"Look, Tay, I tell you what. If I tell you one of my embarrassing moments, would you stop avoiding me? Don't you think that would equal the score?"
"Yeah ok." Taylor answered after awhile.
"Well, uhh, about two months before I joined you guys on tour, I was at a party much like the one we were at. I got drunk too. But umm, I, I did some table dancing. Uhh, without a shirt."
Taylor couldn't help but laugh.
"I was a bit like you, wasn't quite drunk enough to forget it." Laura continued, catching his laughter. "The guys at school didn't let me live it down for weeks. But hey, do me a favour and don't tell anyone. If Uncle Jason found out I got drunk, he might tell my parents and that wouldn't be good."
"Hey, no worries."
"So, uhh, we even?"
"We're even. Now get out of here."
Laura laughed.
"Yes sir." She replied cheekily and left the room.
