"Hey, no problem."
"I really appreciate it."
"Like I said, no problem. Always happy to help you out."
"Thanks - umm, Ike?"
"Yep?"
"Look, I uhh, I saw Lizzie the other day..."
"Yeah?"
"Ike, I, she was kissing Jake Barasser."
Isaac was silent.
"Are you sure?"
"Ike, she was less than two metres away from me."
"Oh."
"Ike, I am sooooo sorry, I just... you're my friend and I felt you had a right to know."
"Yeah... thanks... I just... thanks."
A few minutes later Isaac hung up. He couldn't believe how far this was going. Lizzie would never cheat on him. Never. Least of all with Jake, would she?
It sure looked like she would. And she wasn't exactly being very subtle about it was she? Oh no, it appeared everyone knew. Even he, but Isaac didn't want to believe.
Isaac sighed and pushed the thoughts from his mind. There was plenty of time to deal with them later.
"Hey Ike, what's on ya mind?" Zac asked, wandering in.
"Huh? Oh nothing."
"Uh huh, yeah, sure. Look, Ike?"
"Yeah?"
"If you're not going tell me what's bothering you, fine, but don't do a Taylor ok?"
"Do a T- say Zac?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you suppose that could've been it?"
"What could have been what?"
"Do you think he could have ended up like this because Wendy cheated on him?"
As soon as the words were out of his mouth, Isaac regretted them. Zac raised an eyebrow.
"Ah ha! So you've finally seen the light Ike! Have you dumped her yet?"
"What - no! No, no, no Zac. I... fine ok, I admit it, she's been cheating on me. You happy?"
"Whoa, no need to go so mental dude."
"Sorry." Isaac muttered, slumping in his seat.
