And while doing so, Isaac couldn't help but remember what had happened when they had returned to Tulsa for a couple of days after the last day of "Chained". It was supposed to be a brief break to pack up some things for the rest of their tour. In that time, Isaac had gone over to Karina's place.
What he had seen gave him the biggest shock of his life:
"Karina?" he asked in amazement.
Karina looked at him, almost guiltily.
"Umm, bye John." She said to her 'friend'.
John looked over at Isaac, then back at Karina.
"You let me know if he gives you any trouble." He said, and left.
There was silence.
"Umm, y'know, I came over to apologise. And you know, see if there was anything I could do to save our relationship." Isaac said finally. "I guess not."
"Ike…"
"I mean come on. I come here and discover you and some guy practically eating each other. You know, we only like, broke up three days ago."
"Ike…"
"Just, just tell me Karina. Is this a rebound guy? Did you get over me really fast? Or is there something… has this been going on longer than just three days."
Karina was quiet for a moment.
"Two, three months."
Isaac thought he was going to cry.
"If things weren't working out why didn't you say anything?" he demanded. "The least you could have done was not lead me on like that! Do you have any idea what you put me through?"
"Ike, Ike, I'm sorry. It's just, well, I really like you Ike, but there is absolutely no chemistry between us whatsoever. And, and I've been trying to find a way all this time to tell you, but I couldn't!"
"And so you decided to blame it all on me when I kissed Deanna. Do you have any idea how I beat myself up over that? Do you know how terrible I felt?"
"I, I'm sorry! I didn't know what else to do!"
"How about tell the truth?"
Karina was silent.
"You know something Karina? I hope I never lay eyes on you again."
Isaac had left without another word.
"Hey Ike?" Taylor said. "You plan on going on stage? Or are you gonna sit there all concert?"
"Oh, umm, sorry Tay." He replied. "Coming."
