Zac gave her a look.
"Hey, I told you that I would still be busy for the rest of the year with the movie."
"What possibly could there be left to do? You finished shooting."
"It's called post production. And you'd be surprised."
"Look, I don't see what there could possibly be left for you to do that you can't let other people handle. We have a record to record!"
Sarah gave Zac a sympathetic look.
"No kidding." He said. "Listen Zoe, I warned you well in advance that I would still have other work to do. Stuff we would just have to work around. You decided that would be ok."
"I thought you meant maybe the occasional meeting - but this is the third time this week!"
"Well, you thought wrong then didn't you?"
"And I suppose you'll still want time out for the wedding huh?"
"Kel and I are planning on getting married before the tour starts."
"Oh, and of course, you'll want a honeymoon..."
"We'll probably have that after the tour."
"Oh, well, that's just so much better." Zoe replied sarcastically.
"Look. You asked me if I'd like to be in the band while Mackie's at collage. Remember that? You asked me. Not the other way around. If you don't like my schedule, if you can't accept that I have other responsibilities - ones that come first - then find another drummer."
Zac and Zoe glared at each other.
"Fine. Whatever. Go to your stupid meeting. But you better be back tonight. We have vocals to do."
"Yeah, yeah, sure, sure." And on that, Zac left.
"Well? What are you looking at?" Zoe demanded, looking at Sarah.
She shrugged.
"Nothing."
Zoe gave her sister a disbelieving look.
"So, uhh, what are we going to do now?" Sarah asked tentatively.
Zoe paused, then sighed.
"You can practice that riff you've been working on. I'm... I'm gonna work on some other stuff."
Sarah watched as Zoe left.
