"And so modest too." Babsie commented dryly.
"Of course!"
Babsie smiled.
"You wanna hold your new baby sister?"
Xavier looked disgusted.
"No. I have come to inform you that I think that 18 kids are enough and I don't want any more siblings."
Isaac and Babsie looked at each other, then at Xavier.
"You sure you don't want to hold her?" Babsie asked finally.
Xavier started to shake his head, and then his eye fell on the little baby.
"Umm... ok. But only for a little while." Xavier replied, as if he were bestowing a great privilege on them.
Carefully he took his new sister, the one that had been born just the night before and held her in his arms.
"Her hands are so tiny." He commented.
"Hey everyone! I like, miss anything exciting?" Kelsey asked, walking in.
"How about the entire labour?" Isaac grinned.
"So like, in other words no."
Babsie laughed.
"Aww, isn't she cute?" Kelsey looked a little disgusted. "Well, of course she is. Like, everyone in your entire family is like, cute."
"Well, yeah of course they are." Xavier agreed. "They're all related to me."
"Oh, I see. They all got the like, cute genes you missed out on."
Xavier opened his mouth, then closed it, then opened it again.
"Yeah, why settle for cute genes when you can have gorgeous genes."
Kelsey laughed.
"So like, what's this one's name, and how soon will I be able to forget it like I do like, all the rest?"
"This is Ginger Jubilee Hanson." Isaac replied with a smile. "And you're not allowed to forget it."
"I will. Like, just you wait."
"Don't worry Lee." Xavier said to his sister. "I'm not gonna forget your name."
Then he looked up at his parents.
"Of course, I can't guarantee that I'll remember the names of any other kids you might have - not that it matter 'cause you're not gonna have any more are you?"
Isaac and Babsie just smiled.
