Chapter 67

"So guys, you're promoting your new album."

They were on their promo tour. More specifically, their first television appearance both of the tour and for the Four Amigos.

"Yes we are." Taylor answered.

"Ok, so rumour has it," the hostess continued, "that this is actually your last album because you're breaking up."

The audience gave a complaining 'ohh'.

"Well, ahh, we're not really breaking up… but yeah, ok you could say that though." Taylor admitted.

"Why?"

"How did I know you were going to ask that?" Isaac laughed. "Well, there's our kids' band of course, that's kinda the main reason."

"But y'know, we've been around for twenty-one years - sixteen in the public eye and -"

"The band is old enough to drink." Zac joked.

"And that's most of our lives." Taylor continued as if Zac never interrupted. "We're also keen on the idea of being able to spend a bit more time with our families - not that we don't already spend a lot, what with them always being on tour with us and all, but, y'know."

"But we're not planning on disappearing forever!" Isaac interjected. "Y'know, we've kinda talked about maybe putting together another album in a couple of years time, maybe doing the odd show, and of course, there always the chance that we might join the Four Amigos for another joint tour."

"Actually, that would be kinda ironic. Being the support band for our kids." Taylor grinned.

"What about you Zac? You don't have a kid in the band do you?"

"No, no. I've just got Hope and I don't think she's particularly interested." Zac replied. "Not that the guys even invited her, but anyway."

"So, after the tour, what are you going to do?"

"Mope around the house." He kidded. "No, only kidding. I'm umm, well, I don't know if I should say this - but I will, umm, I'll probably start production on this little project I've been working on."

"What kind of project?"

"It's a movie. And that's all I'm going to say." He grinned. "You'll just have to wait and see what happens!"

"So, what is it like having your kids in their own band?"

"Weird." Isaac replied. "It's really weird. A good weird though."

"Actually I think the weirdest bit is that we can kinda see ourselves in the kids and we're kinda like looking at them and going 'was I like that at that age?'." Taylor grinned.

"Yeah it's like 'I wasn't that crazy was I?'." Isaac added.

"The answer is yes Ike. And you still are." Zac answered.

"And you're not?"
