A week or so later, Psy was entertaining the Four Amigos with a riddle. Psy loved riddles.
"A homicidal maniac threw a bomb in the window, hidden cleverly in a water bomb." Xavier answered.
"Haven't heard that one before - uhh, no." Psy replied, giving him a look as Mike whacked him over the head.
"Is there any furniture in the room?" Sam asked.
"Yes."
"What?"
"Yes, no, or irrelevant answer remember?"
"Oh yeah, umm… is the door open?"
"Irrelevant."
"Is the window open?" Adam asked.
"Yes."
"Is the window relevant?" Mike asked.
"Yes."
The boys thought hard.
"Are Jack and Jill human?" Xavier joked.
"Dim wit!" Adam called him.
"No. They're aren't human." Psy cut in.
"Really? I was just joking." Xavier smiled.
"Is the other furniture in the room relevant?" Mike asked.
"Yes."
"Hmm… umm, is there a table in the room?"
"Yes."
"Are Jack and Jill aliens?" Xavier of course.
"No."
"Are they animals?"
"Yes."
"Are they animals that need water?" Sam asked, eyes shining.
"Yes."
"Are they fish?" Mike and Sam asked together.
"Yes."
"Were they in a fish bowl that got knocked off the table?" Adam asked.
"Yes - but remember you have to work out how. So, how did the fish bowl get knocked over?"
"Did something come in the window?"
"Yes, well, yes, in a manner of speaking."
"Was it the wind?" Xavier grinned, again, joking.
"Yes."
"Are there curtains?" asked Sam.
"Yes."
"Ok, ok, I've got it! The window blew the curtains, and the curtains knocked the fishbowl onto the floor!" Sam exclaimed.
"Yes."
