"Scum." He muttered.
Sadly, he was thinking of Mackie when he said this. He knew that Mackie would occasionally raid his drug supplies. Sure, he wouldn't have minded so much if Mackie was actually using the stuff.
But the pathetic square wasn't. Oh no! The jerk was disposing of it in just about anyway he could think of. Gradually. Bit by bit.
As if Olivier wouldn't noticed.
"Hey Oliver!" Mackie called, walking into the room.
"Whatever."
Mackie frowned in concern. He just didn't know what to do. As each day went past Oliver seemed to get more and more distant from him.
Strangely though, no one else seemed to notice any change in Oliver.
Mackie headed over to his bag and started searching it for his jacket. He picked it out and then turned to Oliver again.
"Umm, we're gonna have dinner in a bit. You might want to finish up."
Oliver didn't answer. Mackie sighed, put on his jacket and left the room.
Oliver took another drag.
"Yeah, that's right Hanson. You go out and enjoy yourself. Just forget the money you're costing me."
Didn't he understand what Oliver was going through? He needed those drugs.
Oliver kicked at the railing angrily.
A few minutes later, he was finished with his joint. He wandered back inside and prepared to take a shower. Mackie was right about one thing. If he didn't want to get caught, he couldn't afford for anyone to smell the smoke on him.
As he picked up some clothes he noticed the photo he had hidden under them. It was one of the band. As he looked at it he found himself checking out Zoe again. He just couldn't help it. 13, and already she was a knockout.
Quickly, he pulled himself out of his daydream and hid the photo again. It would not be good for anyone to walk in and see him doing that! Let alone Mr-Goody-Two-Shoes Mackenzie Hanson. He'd probably kick his butt, and as reluctant as Oliver was to admit it, Mackie would have no problems doing such a thing if he so chose.
He grabbed the rest of his clothes and headed into the shower, hoping that Mackie wouldn't take advantage of the opportunity to get rid of more of his drugs again.
Of course, that would be just typical of Mackie wouldn't it? Some people! They have absolutely no consideration at all.
