"Ike? Weren't you listening to me?"
Isaac and his date were sitting in a restaurant. He had just about fallen asleep and she hadn't even noticed.
"Of course I was, it's just," Isaac glanced at his watch. "Oh look, I'd really better be going. Waiter?"
"Must you?" she asked.
"Yeah, we have friends coming up from Australia tonight."
"Oh."
A little later, Isaac dropped her off at her home. She gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"You know Ike, I really feel if something happened between us tonight." She smiled seductively. "Call me soon."
"Sure I will." He replied, then, once his back was turned, he mumbled to himself. "When hell freezes over."

Babsie gave Isaac a weird look as he wrapped his arms around her, giving her a huge hug.
"Umm, ok." She said.
"Babsie! Please! Save me from Zac!"
"Save you from Zac?"
"Yes! He keeps sending me out on these blind dates."
Babsie laughed.
"Hey! You know Claudia." Zac replied. "You even named a guitar after her."
"Yeah, five years ago! She talked so much - I fell asleep during dinner." Isaac admitted. "I'm begging you Babsie, please go out with me on a date while you're here."
"Aww, begging huh? What girl can't resist that." Babsie teased.
"Hey, Babsie doesn't count!" Zac exclaimed. "You want a serious relationship and she doesn't."
"Oh, you're just mad 'cause I'm not dating you any more." Babsie retorted. "I'll go out on a date with ya Ike, if there's an opportunity before Saturday - oh well, actually that's Friday, American time. I have a job you know."
"Thank you Babsie. Thank you so much."
"You know, I could get used to this."
"Hmph." Zac grumbled. "Well, just remember Ike, I've set you up with Janelle on Wednesday. So don't make -"
"Is Wednesday good for you Babsie?" Isaac asked.
Babsie grinned.
"No, actually. I haven plans with Rita. But hey, nice try."
"You know, if you would just ask girls out on your own, I wouldn't have to do this." Zac put in. "It's for your own good."
Isaac and Babsie stared at him.
"I know someone who gonna make a very good father some day." Babsie commented dryly.
