"Don't they ever stop?" Nick asked, referring to Taylor and Rita.
"No." Isaac answered.
"There's something I don't get." Jarod said. "Didn't they only meet tonight?"
"It was love at first sight." Babsie informed them with a twinkle in her eye.
"I think it's closer to lust at first sight." Nick quipped.
"They met over the internet a few years ago." Zac lied.
"Really? I didn't think Rita was into that. I suppose Taylors' gonna be taking her to her formal."
"Probably."
Nick shrugged.
"Ahh, well, doesn't matter."
"C'mon, we'd better be going. Good show tonight Babs, see ya tomorrow." Jarod said.
"What formal?" asked Isaac.
"Rita has her year twelve formal next week." Babsie explained. "You guys will be here, won't you?"
"Well, we'll have to check, but I'm sure something can be arranged."
"Cool."
"Oh, get a room you two!" Jess exclaimed.
Isaac, Babsie and Zac laughed at the expression on Jess' face.
"When's the baby due?" Babsie asked her.
Jess looked at her warily.
"December."
"Don't mention it." Isaac warned Babsie, grabbing her arm. "To anyone."
"No problem." She replied good-naturedly. "It's not as if it's their business anyway."
"We should go with the internet story as explanation for why Taylor and Rita are dating." Zac added. "Like anyone would believe the dreams thing."
"Oh? So you're actually gonna tell people you guys are dating?"
"Yeah, well, we're not gonna give names or anything. We might like, mention we have a girlfriend, but not go into any more detail." Isaac told her.
"Then you get like these jealous fans and it's like 'You stole my man, I'm gonna kill you now'." Zac joked.
"Man?" Babsie repeated with a grin. "Since when were you ever a man?"
Zac gave her a look. Taylor and Rita had finally pulled their lips away from each other and took an interest in the conversation.
"Zac actually does have a girlfriend..." Isaac put in grinning. "About, oh, 40 of them."
"Ike! You're not supposed to tell anyone!"
"Oh, Zac you player." Babsie teased. "Yeah, I can see you as a player. I approve."
"Of course you'd approve. We've heard about you." Zac joked.
Babsie pulled a face at him cheekily.
"Don't pull faces at me woman! Or I might have to kick your butt."
"Sure you will Zac. And Leonardo D'Caprio is really the love child of Princess Diana and Elvis Presley."
Isaac and Taylor laughed, and Rita smiled. But the colour in Zac's face seemed to drain away.
"Oh no... 'Freak'? Do you have a screen name 'Freak of Nature'?"
